Groovy Tunes; Monday [ 07/14 ]
Coming into the shop and looking around, Chad drew in a deep breath. He...it looked like he had a lot of grunt clean-up work ahead of him. But that was okay. If anything, he was glad he came in after the dinosaurs because it was better him who could do a lot more lifting and tossing and clean up than Charlie or Melody. He set Prince Oscar Pedro on the counter; he curled up immediately because hanging out in Chad's Potpourri class had worn him out. Chad started looking for the other cats. Not finding them, he was a little worried, but there were no signs of dinosaur feasting that he could really notice, so he'd assumed they'd found somewhere safe to chill.
Hoped, anyway.
Today's music: Classical. He didn't have time to make a dino mix before today, and he figured this was close enough to their time period to work.
Groovy Tunes is open!

She waved. "Hiya. Whoa, the music sounds all fancy today."

She bit her lip and bounced a little nervously. "So, uh, on the radio-thing Thursday night, they mentioned ... that people had, like, music going? That, uh, that wasn't just me, right?"

She shook her head quickly, interrupting her misty train of thought with a blush. "I don't remember most of it, now. I just ... I wanna hear it again, you know? If it's out there, and maybe it's not. I don't know."

She thought for a minute. "There was ... lots of piano, and it kind of ... the speed of it kept hiccuping, almost? And then halfway through it all changed anyway and it was the same song but totally different, and ..." she cleared her throat to sing the only line she remembered properly, "'and we all went to heaven in a little rowboat ... there was nothing to fear, nothing to doubt."
She blushed pretty heavily. "I suck at singing but it was, uh, like that if it didn't suck."

She bounced a little. "Thank you! I mean, even if it isn't, that's ... for trying, you know? That's so great!"
And then bounced for a few more seconds before tearing off to one of the booths.

Chad politely left out the chosen method of recuperation.

"We're going to need new posters, but at least the tiger didn't do any *permanent* damage," she said, wiping up the matchsticks left of the counter. "So hey." She grinned suddenly. "I survived my first *real* invasion. Hunh."

"Congrats," Chad said, giving Charlie a thumbs-up. "What'd you think?"
