Wednesday Afternoon Activity - Picnic in The Park (Periods 4-6)

The Park was rather busy this afternoon. Aside from a large picnic table littered with all sorts of delicious treats that passers-by were welcome to help themselves to, several activities were set up.

There were jello wrestling and custard wrestling arenas (really large inflatable wading pools), potato sacks for a potato sack race, a few frisbees and balls to throw around and a table set up for a hot dog eating competition.

All welcome!

[ETA: Weather is cloudy. No rain!]

Naomi didn't have any classes on Wednesday so she decided to spend some time at the picnic. She got some food and mingled.

Annette grabbed a carrot stick and walked around, just looking.

River helped herself to a plate and began to fill it with a variety of food. I beat what the cafeteria had to offer.

John was workshop-free today so he grabbed some food and looked to see who was around.

Anemone's treat radar led her straight to the food. Filling a plate, she sat down and watched the proceedings with amusement, occasionally pausing to try and feed bits and pieces of various treats to Gulliver.

Marco headed for the free food, going for as much junk food as he could.

Yay, food! Yay picnic! Turtle got some and looked around for a good place to sit.

For such a small girl, Setsuna sure piled a lot of food onto her plate. She did so a little shamefully, head ducked as she found a seat, but she was still trying to catch up on her carb intake from all that flying this weekend. She nibbled idly and looked around, hoping to maybe spot a few people and wave them over.

Knowing there was a hot dog eating contest he wanted to get in on, Chad got himself only a small amount of food.

Well, what he thought was a small amount of food. Others might have other opinions.

Whaaaat? He was a strong, growing boy, here....

It was nice out, and with nothing to do today Alphonse grabbed at the opportunity to go outside and enjoy the weather. Plus, there was food. Of course, there was the question of who didn't like food, but he definitely did.

Thus, food, mingling, and the such.

Rodney hated being outside, but he loved picnic food. Sometimes, sacrifices have to be made.

Billy wasn't particularly hungry, so he just got some lemonade and proceeded to practice his mingling skillz.

Oooh! Yes! "How fun!" She really wanted to do this.

Svannah was a bit bouncey. This could be fun.

Setsuna just sort of stared at the jello wrestling ring.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me!"

Re: Custard Wrestling

River dipped a hand into the custard, impressed by the colour. Wrestling in that seemed fun. She'd even consider holding back on her strength a little just to get someone to try. "I wonder how much the viscosity of the custard will impede movement," she mumbled to herself.

Annette did this once in school when she was like eight or nine. Shoving her feet and legs into a patato sack, she grinned and sort of hopped around in place, waiting to race.

Oh, Chad was so on top of this one. He took a second to crack his knuckles and prepared to gorge...as soon as he had someone to compete with. Or even if not. If someone didn't how up soon he would just compete with himself and just see how many he could choke down.

Anemone kept tossing a frisbee, trying to convince Gulliver to go fetch.

It really wasn't working.

"C'mon Gulliver, it isn't that hard! It's fun, see?" Anemone tossed the frisbee again, then took off after it down the park.

It's entirely possible that Gulliver might be smirking at bit at how entertaining His Girl is being, if a strange mutant-puppy-panda-thing is capable of smirking.
