After talking to Robin last night at the bar, Mary listened to the radio last night to hear more about the new temporary principal. She was really amused to hear that PDA had been banned and wondered how the new temporary principal would "enjoy" Sin City.

There was a note from River at the front desk which made Mary was eager to meet the new guest and see why she was so unhappy.

"Do you have any plans for tomorrow night?" asked Mary. She may need some back-up if she testing drinks at Caritas.

"The bartender down at Caritas offered to come up with some fun non-alcoholic cocktails and I offered to taste-test them," said Mary. "Just in case, though, I wouldn't mind having someone walk me home afterwards, and you do owe me from last time."

"Oh! Sure. No problem, just lemme know what time. You want me there the whole time?" John was not trying to snicker. Or planning on bringing a camera.

"Non-alcoholic?" He couldn't mess it up too much, right?

"Not a whole lot. Gunther is actually behaving himself and there's no red meat in sight," said Mary, smiling.

"How are things at the Photo Hut?"

Joanna entered the lobby followed by her manservant, Andrew. Andrew was doing his best to carry the first load of his employer's luggage. Some of the bags probably weighed as much as he did.

Joanna approached the desk and tossed down two keys. She then turned to leave.

"I certainly hope you enjoyed your stay," said Mary, using her best casino host want-to-get-you-to-spend-more-money smile.

Joanna paused (Andrew grimaced). She turned about slowly and let her less-than-pleased gaze fall on Mary.

"There has been *nothing* enjoyable about my stay." Joanna then turned slowly back around, knowing that if she started to say more, she was likely to go on and on, and she really just wanted to get back to her yacht.

She also, clearly, had not paid.

"I'm so sorry to hear that. Would a free dinner at our new restaurant make your stay more enjoyable? We have one of the hottest chefs from Las Vegas and the restaurant is so exclusive that it hasn't even opened to the public yet," said Mary. She felt much more in her element playing the comps game like she did in back home.

Joanna paused again. Exclusive was one of her favorite words. Again, she turned.

"I will not spend one more hour cramped up in one of those boxes you people keep referring to as rooms. I'm going back to my yacht, where I can breath."

She stepped closer to the desk, "Tell me more about this restaurant. How exclusive are we talking?"

"It's so exclusive that you need to be on the VIP list just to get in, and so far, yours is the only name on the list," said Mary, conveniently forgetting that she'd promised Stan that she'd add him to the list.

"You know, we do have a new presidential suite that was just recently remodeled," suggested Mary. "It hasn't been available yet because I just finished putting the finishing touches on the decor. It's the largest suite available and it's even bigger than the my own suite. Plus you'll have a balcony with a lovely view of Serenity Cove, and the bath is so spacious that you could literally turn it into a day spa. Would you like to see it?"

Joanna was tapping her perfectly manicured fingers on the desk top. "The presidential suite?" She contemplated for a bit. "And it has a balcony with a view..." She turned to Andrew and motioned for him to stop struggling with her bags.

"It appalls me that I'm just now learning of these things. You *must* train your staff better. I will see this suite for myself. I'll only need it for a few more days as I am looking into the purchase of a huge mansion here on the island."

I'm supposed to be at the DMV getting my license renewed. However, I have a migraine and the room is spinning. Not a good day to convince them that I don't need another vision test, right?
