Magic Box, Wednesday
Andrew ran to the Magic Box that morning. He consulted a list in his pocket and gathered up various items from throughout the store. Ringing himself up, he put the money for the items in the till and said, "Thank you for shopping at the Magic Box, Mr. Wells."
Then he unlocked the front door and hid his purchase away.
The Magic Box is open for all your cosmically mystical material desires.

"Good day, Mr Wells," he said, as he walked through the door.

Then, as if just realizing that he'd actually spoken another language, he added quickly in English, "I'm, er, very pleased to hear it. Are you ready for something new, then?"
no subject
Andrew bit his lower lip. "When could I bring them to you?"

"When did you learn to speak Persian?" Andrew was suddenly very curious about the man before him.

He pondered Andrew's question for a moment. "Well, I don't know that I really learned to speak Persian. I just...speak them. Languages I mean. All of them."
no subject
Aziraphale's answer to his question was confusing. "All of them?"
no subject
Aziraphale smiled. "Quite, my dear. All of them. Every language spoken by man, and a few that aren't."

Lucifer would probably know. Maybe he should see about coaxing the young man over to the Nest sometime. Just to see what the Adversary made of him.
"Terribly sorry, my dear, but you've got me on that one. Although I must say that I'm more than a little bit curious to know how you might have picked it up."
no subject
"Oh, Granok I learned from Tucker -- my older brother. Well, he butchered the language, but I still learned the basics from him."
[ooc:Sorry about the delay!!! - unexpected life.]

Not that he actually thought this was the case. But he figured it was a good way to try and draw out the real explanation.
[ooc: Damn those unexpected life things! ;) ]

Andrew was intrigued that Aziraphale recognized the language as demonic. It wasn't unheard of -- in Sunnydale. "Do you know much about demons?"
no subject
He cocked his head at Andrew. "And how much do you know about them?"
no subject
"Are you fascinated by demonology too, or is it just something you've picked up?"
no subject
Then again, as Crowley always said, most Satanists were a pretty dull and harmless lot. Much like Anglicans, really.
"Oh, I suppose you'd say I just picked it up. Bit of a necessary topic in my line of work, though."

It really was.

Aziraphale had opened his mouth to agree that yes, he also taught. But he got stuck on Andrew's stated goal of smiting. "You, er, aspire to smiting something deserving, I hope?"

"I'm totally sticking around for the school year. I was supposed to only be here for the summer, but being that my aunt seems to be happy having me so far away, looks like I don't have much of a choice. Not that I'm upset about it or anything." His eyes did look a little sad though.
"Maybe I'll be able to take your class if you're teaching. What's your favorite kind of cookie?"
no subject
Not that he wasn't going to be keeping a close eye on Andrew from here on.
"I have to admit to a fondness for gingersnaps, but really, I'm not certain there's any sort of biscuit I don't like. And what about you?"
no subject
"So your place tomorrow night?"
[ooc: Screaming at the clock didn't make it change. It's totally past my bedtime!]

Aziraphale smiled, and then said, "And I'd best be off, and let you get back to work. It's been lovely talking to you, Mr Wells."
[ooc: Blech, I know. Mine too. Night!]
