Magic Box, Thursday

Giles unlocked the door and switched the sign from CLOSED to OPEN. He spent some time going over the order manifests from both his shop and the one in Sunnydale. There were some unusual things being shipped to the latter; Giles made a note to call Anya and see if he could get her to explain without any digressions into her and Xander's lovelife.

After that, he got out some of his spell books and went through them, looking for the rituals he wanted to focus on with Andrew in their lesson that afternoon.

The Magic Box was open.

Andrew wandered in sometime after lunch. He had had a very eventful morning and was feeling pretty good about life. "Hello, Mr. Giles!"

"Good afternoon, Andrew," Giles greeted him. "You seem in better spirits today."

"Life is pretty awesome. I just finished my last workshop of the summer. Don't really have much to complain about." Andrew looked at his mentor, "And how are you Mr. Giles? Done anything fun of late?"

"My life has been rather short of fun lately, I admit. But as it's also been short of apocalypses, I can't be too upset about it."

Andrew nodded. "Though, not like apocalypses are really that abundant in the first place though, right?"

He sat down and waited to see what Giles had planned for the day.

Giles gave a faint smile. "You would be surprised. Today we're going to work on banishing spells." He paused. "For those random outbreaks of things like flying monkeys."

"Oh, fun!" Andrew grinned. After what Umbridge had been up to this past week, he felt no more remorse for releasing a pack of flying monkeys on her.

"So these are general kind of banishing spells? For like when your not in control of the demons?"

"Essentially, yes," Giles said. "And do I need to reiterate how playing around with demons is a recipe for disaster?"

Andrew just grinned and shook his head. "No, you do not. I know that you shouldn't play around with demons. That would be wrong."

Though some of them just sounded so fun.
