Joanna stood by as Andrew hammered a sign into the ground outside of the ticket booth. This one simply read: Help Wanted!

Mini-golf is fun. You know you want to play. Go-karts are fun. You know you want to ride.

It had taken Neil a couple of wrong turns to work his way down to Wonders of the World but here he was, at the ticket booth, debating if he should go ahead and purchase Andrew's ticket as well as his own or if he should offer to pay for refreshments.

Decisions, decisions!

Joanna might have been smiling at Neil. It was hard to tell as her smiles were really just less intense frowns.

"Are you going to buy tickets or are you just going to continue gawking?"

She really needed to hire some employees.

Eep!

Err, that kind of made his mind up for him.

Blushing slightly, Neil headed for the ticket booth, tugging his wallet out of his back pocket.

"I'm sorry, Ma'am. Two please."

Joanna passed over two tickets and pointed to the rows of putters and multicolored balls.

"I hope your experience is more than adequate. Please come again. And bring more friends."

Andrew stood a few feet behind Neil and grinned. He had totally wanted to get here first to buy the tickets, but he had to admit, he loved the warm tingly feeling he had watching his date buy a ticket for him.

He cleared his throat and said, "You got the tickets so I'm totally getting the food."

Neil looked over his shoulder and smiled widely.

"Dang straight you're getting the food!"

Hey, just because he could be romantic, didn't mean he wasn't going to snap that offer up toot sweet.

Turning, with tickets in hand, he walked over to Andrew.

"Good evening."

Andrew jumped up to the start of the hole and lined up his shot. The last time he had played this game, his brother threatened to summon a sludge demon and hide it somewhere in his room if he didn't let him win. Andrew was anxious to try it without that kind of pressure.

He didn't count on the pressure of trying to impress a date though. His shot went wild and the ball wound up lodged half way up the Great Pyramid.

"Um, oh. Your turn."

Placing his ball down on the mat, Neil lined up his own shot and gave it a neat tap with the putter.

At least it didn't end up half way up the Great Pyramid.

"Err, got any idea on how you plan to hit that ball up there?"

"Carefully?" Andrew grimaced, taking a few practice swings holding the putter more like a baseball bat. He walked up to the pyramid and gently swung at his ball. Amazingly, it bounced down the side, hit the Sphinx in the foot and rolled to within a foot of the hole.

"Did you see that!" Andrew was excited. He bounced right over to Neil and pointed at the ball. "Did you see that?"

He had indeed! And in fact he was standing there wide eyed with disbelief.

"Yes! Wow, Andrew that was a fantastic shot!" Neil said, momentarily distracted from his own game by the neat shot his date had just pulled off.

John wandered around the place, trying to find Ms Stayton. He ended up at the go-karts.

Eventually Joanna made her was over there too. She was bored and prone to walking around and scowling at things.

"Are you enjoying the view?"

"Yes, actually," he said, turning towards her. "Excellent spot for this. Did you build with the view in mind?" he asked, wondering the best way to turn down her job offer.
