If by work, you mean leaning against it and watching the band. Which D'Argo did, because he was doing it at work. Yeah.

"What can I get for you?" D'Argo asked, figuring that was probably even better than a greeting.

"Whiskey, no ice," Anakin said, pointing helpfully at the bottle he wanted.

That was one he actually knew how to make, as it was very easy, but he'd take the helpfulness. He poured the glass, sliding it over. "Long day?"

"Long week," Anakin said, smile pulling at the scars on his face. "You're new, right? My granddaughter used to tend bar on Wednesdays, and I'm pretty sure you're not Jaina."

"Yeeeeah. She got fired. I think it was a bit of a shock for her," he said, almost warily.

Stark had been in here all of once, but it was almost time to leave the island and going back to the bar seemed like a good plan bars were a good place to emo. And he'd like to see D'Argo again before leaving, so here he was, at the bar.

"Hello, D'Argo."

"Stark," he greeted him. "Didn't think I would see you in here." In fact, he kind of had a hard time picturing what Stark would be like after a drink. It worried him some.

"I was only in here once before this," Stark said with a shrug. "But I thought maybe it would be good to talk to you. Before I have to go."

"Where are you going now?" he asked. D'Argo was used to Stark coming and going, but having the someone he knew around had been a good thing. Ignoring the possible weird Aeryn.

"Back," he said vaguely. He'd given up on having a plan for where to go from here. His plans almost never worked anyway. "Not sure. Just somewhere. Maybe I'll figure it out once I'm there."

Mary put in an appearance at Stan's cookout, but slipped out early after she realized that she was basically the fifth wheel at that party. Since she didn't feel like heading home to a lonely hotel room, she was back at the bar.

"Club soda with lime, please."

"I had to quit my job and flee Las Vegas because I did something stupid when I was drunk," said Mary. "Believe me, it was bad. The other night? That was the first time I had a drink since leaving my old life behind."
