Turtle & Canary; Friday [ 08/31 ]

Turtle had been too busy at work yesterday to ~~post~~ do much other than all the inventory and technical stuff, and she'd been so productive with it that it left her with so little to do today that she'd almost regretted coming in. Apu could definitely handle a day like this himself. This meant she either needed to find herself a project, or be stuck thinking about the fact that she had a boy in her room the other night, which was still weeeeeird. So she was working on sorts of things to help the store appeal to the new students that might be coming in with the new semester.

It involved glitter. It always involved glitter.

Today's Squishy flavors: Lavender, Lilac, Red.

Marco stealthy snuck into Turtle and Canary and tried to get behind Turtle.

Turtle, deeply caught up in the projection numbers and percentages of her work, was easily gotten behind. It helped, too, that Liz was taking a nap.

Once he was right behind Turtle, Marco reached up and quickly covered her eyes. "Guess who?"

Turtle jumped at someone suddenly covering her eyes, nearly falling back on her chair with the surprise, but flailing arms and a few kicks of her legs kept her righted.

"I don't know, but whoever they are are going to be really sorry when I find out!"

Her arms futilely attempted to thwap the person behind her, and she grunted in an attempt to recognize the voice in so few words.

Marco laughed and took a step back, letting go of Turtle. And staying out of her thwaping range. "Aw come on, even if he knows you're all talk?"

"Marco!" There was a slightly screeching quality to her voice as she turned around. "In about two seconds flat, I'll prove I'm not all talk if you don't believe me."

Those two seconds would probably turn into two minutes if she could help it. Marco could probably take her, she didn't kick anymore unless absolutely necessary, and she didn't know where Jeff might stand on the whole beating up other boys thing. But she'd make sure to include it in the contract once she asked.

Marco took five very big and very hurried steps back and ... fell on his rear. "No, hi, long time no see?" He asked innocently from the floor.

"Ha!" Turtle laughed victoriously at first, and then it petered out into giggles because Marco falling on his butt like that was priceless. "See? Don't mess with T.R. Wexler. Even gravity is on my side."

"...You've paid of gravity to help you?" Marco asked innocently, still on the floor.

"No," Turtle said, as though insulted by the idea. "It's on my side thanks to my pure charm and grace. But! I could pay gravity. If I wanted to."

"How much do you think it would ask for?" Marco asked, making himself comfortable on the floor.

"Um...." Turtle appeared to be doing the math quickly in her head. She wasn't. "About...five point seven million."

"Heeeey, Turtle!" Buffy called out as she entered the shop. "Do you have any glitter?"

As Buffy came in, Turtle gave her a look. "Do we," she asked, "have glitter? Buffy. Come on."

One of these days, I'll stop posting before I've had my coffee, but then what would I complain about in the OOC?
