Café Fina, Tuesday

Naminé was rather enjoying her fall term at Fandom. She had art class again, and that inspired her to re-use one of her older specials.

HELP US MAKE FINA BEAUTIFUL
Bring us art for our wall décor
And we will give you free dessert

After all, one could never have too much art.

Café Fina was open.

Leo had framed pictures of Dinos eating brownies, and ghost children playing on playground equipment.

"Yeah I took those photos with one of the cameras at the shop. Oh I've got other copies back home." he assured her.

"Thanks Man." he smiled. "I'm glad you liked 'em." And those photos reminded him, he needed to go hang out at the playground again.

"Wow that sounds really good. But yeah, dinner'd be good."

Leo chuckled, and saw that they had meatloaf and mashed potatoes. "Hey how's this?" he pointed.

"90's easy listening?"

The upbeat song was more conducive to enjoying supper.

As part of her ongoing explorations of Fandom, Cassandra had been wandering into random businesses. Sometimes you could tell what they were from outside based on the sorts of things in the windows, but most of the time she found herself surprised.

She poked her head into Cafe Fina and looked around curiously.

Cassandra shook her head, looking around with more than a hint of confusion.

"That's weird," Cassandra offered a bit suspiciously. It seems like the sort of thing the Joker would come up with, really.

"Oh," Cassandra stared some more. "They move... different." From people, that was.

"But they're good guys?" Yeah... Cassandra was serious.

"Cheesecake?" Cassandra hadn't had that before, but Namine's body language suggested that it was quite tasty.

"Um..." Cassandra considered. "I can't draw very good." Dance she could do, but you can't hang dance on the wall.

Cassandra considered. She didn't have any money, and cheesecake did sound intriguing. "Do it together?" she offered.

Steve ducked into Cafe Fina to tell Namine, "I'm afraid all my recent art is war drawings. I don't think you'd want it on your walls." Also, he thought it all sucked.

"Not the recent chaos," Steve told her. "An old war. The last one I was in."

"Don't be," Steve told her. "I volunteered. It's still the best thing I've ever done. I'm just sorry I missed the close, is all." Watching old newsreels about the victory celebrations in Paris wasn't quite the same. "And I'm hoping they will." He smiled. "I'm taking your advice."

Steve laughed. "No," he admitted, half to himself. "No, I really can't. Even if there's only a longshot."

"No, no," Steve said, "when I work for my supper I actually work, fair and square. Tell you what, I'll come back soon with something for the walls. Then you can give me dessert."

"That's true, but no, thank you, Namine. Some other day, when I have art," Steve said with a grin.
