Meg was bored and had been exploring the town when she saw the Pixie Dust. A store with actual clothes! Yay!
Hoshi dropped by in the morning. Now that she actually had money, she thought she might see what the fashions were in this century.
Isabel still hadn't seen a dress that appealed to her, so she was glad for the interruption when the door opened.
"Hi Meg! What's up?"
"Hi Meg! What's up?"
"Hoshi!" Isabel beamed. "You're here! Are you ready to shop?"
"Oh, not much. This is the first store I've seen in town with actual clothes so I had to stop in." she said. "I was worried about the lack of shopping here."
"I think so, considering that I've never shopped for clothes before," said Hoshi, looking a little nervous.
"Yeah, it was a problem for a while," Isabel nodded. "Stuff for Sale will usually have stuff before Homecoming and Prom. But for average every day stuff? Well, I did a lot of ordering online. Although once I got my car, I would head over to the malls in Alexandria if I had to. This makes life simpler."
"D.C. is pretty close to here too, right? I could do some major shopping there." Meg had always wanted to visit D.C.
"It's easy," she promised as she gestured around the store. "Just pick out what you like and see what looks best. What are you looking for exactly? It'll help narrow things down."
"Oh yeah. I've gone in a few times to visit the different museums and stuff," she replied. "And yes, there's plenty of shopping."
"All I really need is something casual that I can wear to class, or to work at the hotel," said Hoshi.
"This place is nice though. I guess I should start thinking about Homecoming soon..." Not that she wanted to.
"It is. Tinker Bell is very much about the fashion," Isabel nodded. "And the shoes. Oh my god you should hear her go on about shoes. Which is pretty interesting considering she doesn't actually talk."
She gestured towards the magazines she'd left sitting on the counter. "I've started looking myself. Nothing here has really hit my fancy. But then again, I'm a picky pain in the ass. What are you looking for?"

"That we can do," Isabel grinned, heading over towards the casual clothes. "Some nice slacks, a few sweaters, maybe some nice shoes with a bit of a heel. How does that sound?"
Meg didn't know whether to be more confused by someone named Tinker Bell or the fact that the someone named Tinker Bell could go on about shoes without actually talking.
She shrugged. "I don't know, really. Last year I went kind of conservative. Pink and poofy. I'm thinking maybe this year I'll go red."

"That sounds good," said Hoshi. Shoes with a bit of heel? She's never had anything like that before.
"Oh very nice," she grinned, heading towards the dresses. "I'm partial to red myself. It sort of announces 'I'm here. Eat your heart out.' Although I did wear black at Prom. "That is nice," said Hoshi, feeling the sleeves to see how soft it was. "I'm not quite sure about the color, though. Do you think it makes me look washed out?"
"I've always played it kind of safe when it came to...well, pretty much everything." she said. She grinned when she saw the dress Isabel picked out. "Oooh! I love the color and the fabric!"
"You're in Fandom now. Risks are a way of life. Although? Is not risky," Isabel assured her. "It's stylish. Why don't you go try it on? That's half the fun of shopping."
"Maybe a bit," Isabel agreed. "What colors do you prefer?"
