See Sora hide from Apu every time he walked by.

Honestly, Sora was a little afraid to go anywhere past the counter with Apu wandering around and scolding him everytime he tried to help with anything other than the squishy machine. Maybe if a customer came in, he'd be free to move about the store.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Pineapple, Tropical, *NEW* Red

He's there excited about his first day on his own!

Turtle stopped in after sealing another amazing business transaction, feeling pretty darn good. Hopefully, checking up on how Sora was doing on his first day wouldn't ruin that.

"Hi, Sora! How's it going?"

"Good!" He smiled back. "Though kind of slow and Apu keeps looking at me like I'm going to mess something up."

Turtle snorted a little, rolling her eyes. "Yeah, that doesn't surprise me. He's a traditionalist; new things frighten and scare him. Mostly, just glare at him a lot and he'll stop."

Sora smirked. "Okay, I won't take him too seriously then. So what's up boss? Can I interest you in a delicious pineapple Squishy?"

"No, thanks," Turtle said, hand over her stomach a little. "I just had a frozen banana, so I'm kind of all fruited out. But ni-hice job on the suggestive sell there!" She beamed a little; she could tell already that Sora was a good hire.

"Thanks! I can't wait to tell Riku and Kairi that I got a job. Riku's always saying I can't do anything on my own," he smirked.

Turtle's head tilted, frowning with a confused expression. "She said that? That doesn't sound at all like anything Rikku'd say."

Sora chuckled and shook his head. "No, not that Rikku. My best friend Riku from back home. He's always teasing me about things."

"Oh," Turtle said, looking a little embarrassed for not realizing, despite the fact that, really, how would she have know that? "Well, yeah, definitely bragging right, then, 'cause not only do you have a job, you have a job here."

Sora wasn't quite sure how having a job at the store was better than elsewhere, but hey! It was something more to brag about he he'd take it!

"Exactly! Are you sure there's nothing I can help you with though?"

Turtle smirked a little; definitely a good hire. "Yeah, I'm sure," she assured him. "I'm just making sure everything's okay so far, since I was in town and everything. Making sure you didn't burn my place down or break Liz or anything like that."

"Nah! I wouldn't do that on my first day!" He joked. "You don't have anything to worry about."

"Good," Turtle said with a satisfied nod. "I'll let you get to it, then? And maybe I will take a pineapple Squishy on my way out."

Especially since, duh. Free for her.

"Sure!" He grinned and leaned on the counter.

Evie came in with a determined glint to her, and marched over to the hair dye aisle, magazine in hand. Carefully, she picked out four different bottles, then price compared them, absorbed in the lists of ingredients.

Sora looked over curiously and smiled. "Need any help?"

"Quite possibly," Evie admitted, looking up from the box. "Tell me, do you know anything about hair dye, and conditioner, and oh, do you need to buy extra conditioner? And can you dye over your hair, if you hate the color? The magazines say not to do that..."

Sora knew this! Maybe, he thought he might. "Well, I mean I've heard that dying your hair can really damage it," He said rubbing his chin as he thought. "That's why they come with the conditioner..."

He looked over the shelves. "Oh! They have temporary dye!" He said pointing to the boxes. "That way if you don't like the color it washes out after a while."

"Ahh! Yes, yes, this is what I was looking for!" Evie flailed a bit, being too short to reach the shelf where the temporary dyes were kept, and asked, "Have you ever dyed your hair? And, um. Could you get me a box of the L'Oreal Burgundy, and the Clarience Copper, please?"

Sora shook his head and wincded slightly. "I'm kinda sorry to say that I haven't." He reached up and played with a bit of his hair, it gets pretty sun bleached at home though."

Sadly, Sora was a bit short to just reach up and grab it but with a jump that was inhumanly high he was able to quickly grab a box of each. "These ones right?"

Evie startled, taking a step back, but then recovered enough to say, "Goodness. Yes, those are the ones. Are you a pole-vaulter?" she added, taking the boxes, and looking around for extra conditioner.

Hmm. Extra moisturizing, hair-color safe, with extra bounce and shine!

"Nah," Sora laughed. "I was given magic that lets me jump really high. It really comes in handy I've found!"

"So I can see!" Evie said, admiringly. "Oh, forgive me. I'm Evie Carnahan. You're new to the Island, aren't you?" She juggled the two boxes, then grabbed another of conditioner, and then looked thoughtful, and picked up a box of shampoo as well. It never paid to be prepared, after all.

"Oh lemme help," Sora smiled seeing Evie load herarms up with things. "Yeah, I just started. My name's Sora."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Sora," Evie said, handing over two of the boxes. "And thank you. Are you from very far away? Is magic common where you're from?" She headed toward the counter, and gave him an inquisitive look. "Or can everyone jump like an Olympic athlete, with magic?"

Sora walked with her back to the counter. "On my world, no. But I traveled a lot between worlds in my universe and learned things from different people on different worlds."

He started to ring Evie up, only having to glance at the cheat sheet once or twice. "It's kind of a long story," he said sheepishly.

"I don't mind listening," Evie said hopefully, then added, "But perhaps not during your work hours. You've traveled to more than one world? For how long?"

"About two years," He said as he bagged everything up. "Yeah, I could tell you a different time, but I've jsut me talking about me." He blushed. "Where're you from Evie?"

"You'll definitely have to do that," Evie said, fishing in her purse for money. "I'm from England, which is in this world, but on the other side of the ocean-- that's where my accent is from-- and approximately ninety years in the past. So some of the things here are *still* very new to me, though I've been here for a year now." She beamed at him and handed over her money. "What floor are you on in the dorms? Perhaps I'll run into in a Common Room."
