The sad thing about the fact that Xander is behind the counter playing with Legos is not that he's a grown man who has AutoCAD on the laptop next to him, 3/4 of a degree in construction management, and a sign on the door advertising his professional services not dirty. Nor is it the fact that he's been doing it for three hours, or that the Ultimate House Building Set was supposed to be a present for Bridge, but he couldn't resist opening it when it arrived, just to, uh, check that all the pieces were there.

It's that he's currently building a scaled-down version of the former Echolls Mansion as it might look turned into a waterslide park.

What - it's an idea.

"In theory it's a new apartment building. In practice it's, uh. Echollsland Fun Park."

Robin hopped up onto the counter to get a better look. "So, it's like an indoor park that looks like an apartment building?"

"Well, it started out as an apartment building - actually it started out as a mansion but then snow monsters broke it - and then somehow it turned into a waterslide park. Possibly because I couldn't think of what else to do with those twisty yellow pieces."

"I do, yeah." Xander frowned at the bucket. "This is just the brick-bucket. I didn't get any people. Clearly I need to order some."

"Maybe you can find stuff at Turtle's place. Or stuff for sale."

"I'll have to check. Though huh, I bet I could get little Dekaranger guys online." Not that he was picturing Bridge's face at that sight, or anything...

"I don't think I've heard of them."

"It's a police show where Bridge is from that, uh has a lot of familiar footage does a bad job of showing how they really act. Apparently. But the action figures are cool."

"Oh neat. The only police show I ever saw was a comedy sketch on my uncle's show."

"Your uncle has a show?" And now Xander was trying to decide if that meant there was a show with talking frogs he didn't know about, or Robin's family got even more interesting than that.

"Yeah a variety/reality show, it's been over for a few years, but he's working on a new one I hear."

Xander blinked. "...Dude, that show? With the frog and the pig?"

"You know it!" Robin bounced excitedly. No one else had ever heard of it!

"Sure. I mean I think I only ever saw it in re-runs, but that show was great." Because the pig was blonde and slapped people around when they pissed her off, thus demonstrating that Xander's taste in women developed early? Uh. Possibly.

"You're the first person here who ever heard of it." Robin bounced. "Did you see the movies?"

"The pig and the frog taking the upper east side is a classic of the genre." If indeed there is a pig-and-frog genre.

"I was a PA in that!" Robin said proudly. Actually he'd just hung out while they made the movie, helping if he could. He'd been too young to be an actual PA, but they called him that.
