The sad thing about the fact that Xander is behind the counter playing with Legos is not that he's a grown man who has AutoCAD on the laptop next to him, 3/4 of a degree in construction management, and a sign on the door advertising his professional services not dirty. Nor is it the fact that he's been doing it for three hours, or that the Ultimate House Building Set was supposed to be a present for Bridge, but he couldn't resist opening it when it arrived, just to, uh, check that all the pieces were there.

It's that he's currently building a scaled-down version of the former Echolls Mansion as it might look turned into a waterslide park.

What - it's an idea.

Xander covered his apartment-slash-waterslide protectively again. "If I build you something to break, will you be nice to my fake amusement park?"

"See? You really do know the way to a slayer's heart," Mel said with a grin. "And if it can look like a mime? You'd be made of win."

".....You want me to build a mime?"

Sadly, he was already counting how many black and white bricks he had.

"Ohhh, the fake vampire." Xander reached for a couple of big white blocks for mime-feet.

"Right," Mel groaned. "I'm wondering if it's going to be worth it."

"How exactly did you get to the highly innovative 'dress up as a mime' solution, can I ask?"

"I asked him what it was going to take to drop this fake vampire bit," Mel said with a sigh.

"So the mime thing was his idea, after torturing you with the fake-vampire stuff?" Xander scratched his head. "Are we sure he's not evil?"

"I didn't say he wasn't evil," Mel replied. "Just that he's not a vampire."

"We could try an exorcism," Xander suggested. "By which I mean Willow could try an exorcism."

"I think his evilness is of the normal human with twisted ideas," Mel said. "Exorcising him might just encourage him."

"Therapy? Isn't there a shrink in town?"
