Bart was very busy today, trying to help make posters for Turtle's run for Student Council.

It was difficult when he kept doodling little pirates all over the posters. Hmmm... Maybe if he drew a pirate Turtle!

Today's Squishy Flavors: Glitter, Rum, Red Hard: With a Vengeance

Rum flavoured was kinda gross, bee tea double ewe

Two dozen Jamie march into T&C and line up at the counter.

"Two dozen gigantor sized red Squishies please!"

Bart stared at the army of Jamies for a few seconds, nudging Bob the squishie machine to get to work. "Coooooool!"

"Yes! They are cold!" Jamie said misunderstanding what Bart was talking about. "And when you slide around in them you can get quite sticky!"

"I thought they were for drinking," Bart replied.

"Have you tasted them?" Jamie said shaking his head. "No way. Vastly inferior to the most wonderful flavor that is the Grape Judas."

Had Bart not been from the future, he would have told Jamie that was so very wrong. It was all about the Orange Julius.

As it was, the poor boy believed the Jamies. "I've never had one... Think Bob could make one?"

"You don't have the flavor available," Jamie said sadly. "Which is why I'm trying to remove your stock of Red so it can be replaced with Grape Judas!"

Sadly Jamie was not aware of Turtle's plan to keep Red anyway.

"Oh!" Bart pushed a few buttons to get Bob moving faster. Turtle was going to be so happy he sold so much of the red flavoured! "Do you want more than two dozen?"

Jamie looked at his dupes and stomped out a few more.

"Double it."

Bart grinned and nodded, darting around Bob as he waited for the dingbot to slooooowly finish the doubled order.

So, about a minute or so.

"So going to get a raise!"

"Wow! You're pretty fast," Jamie noted. "You're not related to anyone by the name of Maximoff are you?"

"Nope! Allen!" Because if Bart was lacking in the crazy twin. And megalomaniacal father.

Which means no visits from a terrigen powered wacko during parents weekend. Bonus.

"Oh. So where do you hail from then?"

Which was a good thing for everyone in Fandom, really.

Bart stopped fidgeting long enough to answer. "Central City, but only one person has heard of it so far."

"Nope, never heard of it," Jamie replied. "Are you a mutant or the result of some improbable accident?"

"Uh..." Bart didn't think he was either of them. ""My grandpa was fast like this? What's a mutant?"

"Where I'm from it's generally a person born with a certain gene that gives them a certain ability," Jamie explained gesturing to his duplicates who were all picking up Red squishies and sipping them and making a face of disgust.

And yet continuing to drink.

"So there's people who can fly, read minds, run fast, manipulate magnetic fields etc."

"Oh!" Well why didn't he say that? "We call people like that superheroes!"

Jamie made a face as he sipped his cup o' red. "Well... some of us are. We're pretty diminished at the moment however. Most of the populace regard us as freaks and hate our guts though. I think they're just jealous."

"Freaks?" Bart's eyes went big. "But you help people, right?"

"Yeah, well there's also the bad mutants who make things worse by saying their superior and then attacking normal people," Jamie said taking another sip and making another face. "That tends to bring out the haters."

"Oh." Bart nodded, grabbing the new order of Squishes and putting them on the counter as they finished. "That sucks. No one does that back home."

That he knew of. And considering how little he got to see...
