Café Fina, Friday: Faculty Appreciation Party

Naminé headed to Fina in the afternoon to help the cheese-grater and pepper-shaker set up.

By early evening, all the tables were in place. There was a long buffet filled with some of Fina's most excellent cuisine, a table or two of hors d'oeuvres, and a bar, which the pepper-shaker felt it was his duty to man.

The cheese-grater stayed by the front door, ready to greet people and assist them, while the plates took up trays of wine or petit fours and prepared to circulate.

The Specials Board read:

FACULTY APPRECIATION PARTY
Come enjoy a night of fine dining
While we say thank-you to the school's staff!

Naminé nodded. Now, to wait for their guests.

"Well, appreciate away," Tim said with a smile. "I teach Shop. Tuesday. Last period. This," he said, looking around, "this is some fine appreciating."

"Namine, thanks for helping me out with this."

"I'll have to remember that." Robin nodded. Naturally, he didn't find it strange at all for there to be animate, anthropomorphic kitchen utensils running about.

Robin hoped lots of people showed up.

Anemone slipped in the door, and wiggled her fingers at the host. "Hello there, sweet-Robin!"

"An excuse to eat tasty food and be social? I wouldn't miss it." she said as she moved over to pat his head. "You did a good job, it looks nice."

Hee. Being weetiny had it's advantages sometimes. "Well Namine and the staff did the setting up."

Tim? So could get used to being appreciated. Especially with this kind of buffet!

Valentine slipped in stealthily like a slippy thing to pick up Naminé for their date.

He was rather impressed that the cheese-grater had the foresight to put all of the picnic-type food into a basket for them. He didn't think he'd be able to fit much of this food into those brand new pockets of his.

But jeans were surprisingly comfortable. Even if he had to barter his artistic license on pain of horrible death for them.

"Well, hello, lovely lady."

"Well, thank you." He spent a moment just smiling at her. He loved it when she smiled like that. And the clothing that she was wearing was making it difficult for him to keep from letting his lower jaw hit his chest in wonderment.

Wonderment was totally not a romanticized exaggeration. Colours did excellent things for her.

As did those pants.

"So! I happen to have a picnic basket and a lovely lady to share the contents with! Shall we be going?"

"You do?"

Okay, so perhaps the insipid intrepid miss Tinker Bell had some sense of fashion, after all.

He had half a mint to tell her to feel the sleeves. They really were very nice to touch.

"To the beach," he agreed, and led her to the door, ignoring the applause of the cheese-grater as they headed out.
