The Beach, late Wednesday afternoon [9/26]

It may be fall, but it was still very warm during the daylight hours. It was definitely warm enough to take a walk on the beach. Mary had a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach, even though she couldn't figure out what that was. She was hoping that the sound of waves would have their usual soothing effect.
