Caritas [Monday evening]

When Robin headed down to the bar she'd found before, in dire need of a drink, she found no one there except some random guy behind the counter.

After discerning that no, no one was really around to open, and that if Robin wanted her beer she was going to have to deal with it, she found herself somehow stationed behind the bar.

It wasn't like she didn't know the workings of a bar. She spent half her time in McClaren's, anyway, and this way she could drink without that skeevy guy hitting on her all night. Plus there was apparently a new bouncer, so she wouldn't have to break up a fight or anything.

She'd kind of always wanted to do that, though, and then cut both guys off and send them home in cabs. Regardless of the lack of cabs on the island, it seemed like it would have made a good story.

[I'm around for the night, albeit sporadically due to new TV and having to go to the library YET AGAIN. Stupid professors with their stupid demands. I should be answering pings in reasonable amounts of time, though, as I'm not a very dedicated student.]

With his uniform still ripped and the replacement in the laundry, Fraser looked nothing like a Mountie when he found his way to Caritas.

He wasn't hiding per se but he was fairly certain his "wife" wouldn't come looking for him here.

"Water, please," he said, smiling. "Are you one of Mr. Bluth's new employees?"

"I shouldn't drink," he said. "So, just water is fine. I'm Benton Fraser, I work up at the school."

GOB's information to Dalton about the employees had been rather incomplete and written nearly illegibly on a wet bar napkin, so he had no clue that this woman didn't actually work here.

That's why he just stood by the bar, watching over everything, waiting to play the role of "cooler."

"Yep. Although I'd prefer not having to bounce anyone," Dalton said. "My name's Dalton. Nice to meet you."

"It's always interesting," Dalton said. "Usually in a way that requires stitches. You'd be surprised how many drunk people carry knives."

Why look, a small frog with a small banjo just walked in.

"Why what's wrong?" Robin asked, concerned.

"Hi," Jamie said grabbing a bar stool. "Could I have a shot of bourbon with... another shot of bourbon?"

"Well a pretty girl told me today that every time she looks at me she thinks of a new way to kill me," Jamie said with a grin. "I think that's as good as an excuse to drink, don't you?"

"Jury is out just yet. The whole death threat thing is a little off putting," Jamie said doing a shot. "Your voice sounds familiar. Are you on the radio?"
