Today's music, by the way: Couldn't Be More Random If I Tried (http://senor-chado.livejournal.com/13758.html)

Jack had it on good athority that this was a music shop and the place to go to learn about the latest music. Latest being late 60s on up.

"Hey," Chad greeted the customer with a lift of his chin. "Can I help you?"

"I need to know about music. From the late 60s on up," he said, a bit shyly. This guy looked huge!

Haku walked with Teddy looking at the various stores as he spotted Chad inside the music store and steered them inside. "Hello Chad," he smiled, even though he seemed a bit down.

And Teddy was behind him, trying desperately to let Chad know that some happy music was needed. Or a kitten. Kittens made everything better. "Hey!"

Chad could at least guarantee the latter. He gave a small smile when he saw the two come in. It was definitely a nice surprise to have two visitors. "Hey, guy; what's up?"

Haku looked around the store absently, mostly avoiding the question. "Any good music come in?"

"Something happy?" Teddy suggested. "Maybe some of that squeaky stuff you listen to sometimes, Chad?"

"Squea--" Chad blinked. "...You mean J-Pop, Ted?" His quirked eyebrow went toward Haku. Would make sense, he guessed, that Haku might like some J-Pop. She kind of looked like someone from those Asian pop groups, even...

"I think I'd prefer something angry at the moment," he frowned slightly looking down at the counter.

Teddy nodded slowly. "Okay, something angry? Please?" He tried mouthing 'bad break up' over Haku's head while pointing at him, but there was no guarantee Chad would understand him.

"Well, we could do J-Rock, instead?" Chad offered, frowning in confusion at what Teddy was trying to mouth to him. Mad Rake Pup? What?

"Sure," Haku shrugged. "I'm still not used to music around here. So I suppose that works."

Teddy sighed, waving dismissively. He'd talk to Chad about it later. "Whatever Chad picks, I'm sure you'll like. I can't understand what they're saying, but the music is usually great."

Chad nodded, grunting in agreement, as he moved out from behind the counter to lead them over to the right section. "They do got good riffs, good guitar; and you speaks Japanese, right, Haku? So you'll be able to understand it."

"//Yes, I do.//" He said in Japanese and wandered around the store, looking at all the music. He'd never been in there before. "//This is a very interesting store.//"

"//Yeah, it is,//" Chad responded in kind with a light grin. "//Should've seen it before Melody-san took over, when it was Empire. Totally different look, but fewer kittens."//

...Chad liked the kittens.

Haku nodded absently and looked up a moment, watching Teddy browse through the cds. "//Kittens are nice I suppose.//" He paused to listen to the music a moment with a small smirk. "//Perhaps if I listened to this kind of music and acted differently, he'd be coming this weekend.//" Haku sighed and browsed through some of the more traditional looking music.

Chad arched his eyebrow at a comment like that. //"This why Ted mentioned the happy music? Someone not coming for parent's weekend?"//

Haku nodded slowly, not looking up at Chad. "//Yes, I just got the letter today. I was looking forward to seeing him. But it is typical.//"

And, Chad, thinking that he was being totally helpful by mentioning this, said, //"Look at it this way: at least you have someone who could have come. I mean, all my family is dead."//

"//Mine is too,//" he smiled softly. "//Zabuza was all that I have left, but I don't think he cares. Maybe if I acted more like a boy he would have, been more a weapon for him.//"

Chad's head tilted. Well, tilted a little more. //"...more of a....? Why would...I mean, don't mean to judge or anything, but if someone's only going to care if you can be used as a weapon...."// He trailed off, letting the rest speak for itself, because he mostly didn't want to say something like that.

Haku shook his head. "//It's a long story. Either way, I cared a lot for him and he never returned the sentiments so I need to get over him," he nodded and continued to browse through the cd's even though he wasn't looking at them at all.

You'll have better luck with the kittens than with Chad, more than likely.

Gone from 1;30 EST to 10;30 EST (YAY WORK), but other than that? *thumbs up*
