Pizza Planet, Friday evening

Wyatt and Chris didn't have any family arriving on the island since their grandfather couldn't make it -- which was probably a good thing, considering how he felt about things like magic. So they avoided the festivities and headed over to Pizza Planet for a bite to eat.

Wyatt wasn't feeling kind of mopey about not having parents there. Not at all.

Chris wasn't the least bit mopey either. Not about not having parents around or about the fact that he was pretty sure his brother was right and he did have a crush on Lana or anything.

"So... I'm glad we start classes up again on Monday. It'll give me something to do."

"You would be looking forward to classes starting again," Wyatt said, flicking a piece of pepperoni at Chris.

"You're just jealous cause I'm smarter than you," Chris said, sucking up some soda in his straw and spitting it at his brother.

Wyatt dodged to the side. "Don't make me orb your glass over your head and dump it out," he threatened.

"Not like I couldn't do the same to you," Chris pointed out.

After scrying for Chris and Wyatt in order to locate them, Piper lead Leo to Pizza Planet. They were disguised so that no one could recognize them, not even their sons.

She glanced at Leo. "Ready?"

Leo nodded. "It'll be fine."

Wyatt didn't even glance at the strangers who walked into Pizza Palace. "You could," he smirked at his brother, "but you forget, I have a shield."

"So not fair!" Chris said, totally pouting.

Piper watched them for a moment, before approaching them. Apprehensively. She wondered if she should be intruding, but then she remembered the reason they were here. "Excuse me? You're Chris and Wyatt Halliwell, right?"

Wyatt looked up. "Yes?" he said.

"Do we know you?" Chris asked, looking at the strange pair. They didn't look familiar.

Piper smiled at them, moving closer to the table. "It's been so long since we last saw you. You probably don't remember us..."

She glanced at Leo and then back at the boys. "We're your cousins. Distant. I'm Jenny. This is Louis. Um, your grandfather sent us since he couldn't be here."

"Grandpa never mentioned you," Wyatt said. "Or that you were coming." He had a weird feeling now, but he wasn't sure why.

"Oh," Piper said, glancing once more at Leo. "Uh, it must have slipped his mind then. We were visiting him in San Francisco recently. He mentioned not being able to make it this weekend. That's when he suggested we take his place."

Chris had a weird feeling, too. Things didn't slip Victor Bennett's mind. "So, how come we don't remember meeting you?"

"You were both very young the last time we were in the Bay Area," Piper explained, already sensing they were suspicious. And why wouldn't they be? "We've been traveling all over since then."

Wyatt exchanged a glance with his brother. Maybe they were demons? "Traveling where?" he asked Jenny.

Chris was thinking along the same lines as his brother. "I don't remember Grandpa ever mentioning you," he added.

"A lot of different places," Piper replied. "Europe mostly...I guess he didn't mention us because we're very distant cousins."

In actuality, they had always stayed close by.

"And you just randomly decided to drop in and visit?" Wyatt said, totally suspicious now.

Wyatt wasn't the only suspicious one. "I'm pretty sure that distant cousins we never met don't actually count as family," Chris said.

"Well, maybe we can get to know each other better," Piper said, sounding hopeful.

"One second," Wyatt said, pulling Chris aside. He dropped his voice. "Dude. They gotta be demons or something."

Chris nodded. "Definitely something off about them."

He glanced back at them again. "Bridge would know. I could call him and ask him to come down?"

Wyatt nodded. "Good idea," he said. "Whoever they are, I don't trust them."

Chris excused himself to use the restroom and left a message (http://bridge-carson.livejournal.com/1407.html?thread=1126015#t1126015) on Bridge's voicemail.

He returned to find Wyatt and their "cousins" sitting in awkward silence. He shook his head slightly to indicate that Bridge hadn't been available.

"So, are you two planning to be in town all weekend?" he asked.

"That's what we're hoping," Piper said. "Though right now, we'll leave you two alone. We'll definitely have to catch up later, though."

"You have a cell phone we can reach you on?" Wyatt asked.

Leo gave them the number. "Call us, we'll be here all weekend."

Chris nodded. "We'll be in touch."

Once they figured out what the deal was and had some backup. And maybe some generic vanquishing potions, just in case.
