Sunday Brunch at Café Fina

Everything seemed to be ready. The buffet tables were sparkling and filled with some of Fina's best. The cheese-grater was wandering with tall glasses of juice - although if anyone wanted something a little stronger, a few words and it could be provided. (So long as they were adults, of course.) The plates were rehearsing their kickline. The pepper-shaker was nervously zipping around here, there, and everywhere, expecting to find something wrong.

Naminé had refused the suggestions that she should costume herself as some sort of kitchenware. At the last moment, as a concession of sorts, she tied a ribbon in her hair and changed into a pinafore, figuring she could pass for meta for Alice. That was a costume, wasn't it?

The Specials Board read:

WELCOME PARENTS, RELATIVES, AND FRIENDS!
PLEASE ENJOY A SUNDAY BRUNCH WITH US!

Café Fina was open.

"And this kind of stuff happens all the time around here?" Aisha asked, grinning. "How do I get to come?"

"It does, yep," Adam chuckled, nodding. "Just apply?" He shrugged, smiling. He then lowered his voice and looked around making sure no one except Aisha could hear him. "Actually, Zordon told me about this place. Talking to him might work."

Aisha nodded, grinning, and said, "Maybe I will." She paused for a moment, hesitated. "It's not the same without you, y'know. I mean, everything, obviously, but everything, too."

Adam smiled slightly, nodding. "Yeah, I can imagine," he admitted, slightly saddened by that. "This place is definitely nothing like home. You guys are getting on okay without me, I imagine."

"We miss you," Aisha said, simply. "I mean, we can handle Rita and Zedd, sure, but we miss you. You need to come home, at least for a visit."

"I am, yes," Adam nodded, grinning. "Why? Are you looking to test me?" He chuckled. He be up for sparring with Aisha anytime.

"It has been way too long since we sparred," she said, laughing lightly. "Anywhere good to do it on the island?"

"Yes it has," Adam agreed. "There's the gym in the dorms, and then there's the Atlas gym in town. The one in town is really nice."
