Around the island - Tuesday

It wasn't too long after the meeting at the school that the troopers and the school's security moved around the island. Two checkpoints were set up; one at the docks and one at the causeway to keep people from leaving that way. Troopers and school security were moving through the streets to keep an eye on things and to help a hand if necessary.

Roy himself seemed to be covering all the points at once. He was worried, but right now at least he had something tangible to do and he was intent on making sure no one would get to the mainland.

Fraser and Roy will be moving around town and the checkpoints continuously. If you want to talk to either of them, feel free to mod spotting them and we will tag in ASAP! Mmmmm uniforms.))

It was impossible to pass the causeway towards the mainland anymore. Fences had been set up to block the road and a small team of troopers and school security was guarding the roadblock intently.

It was the same deal at the docks as no one was allowed near the ships and security personnel had been stationed near the roads to keep anyone from attempting to leave.

Joanna's yelling washed over the docks as the Immaculata glided back in. "I don't care if you don't understand it. I want answers! You will try to raise someone on that radio again and you will keep trying till you get through. Is that clear?"

She was standing next to the gangway, waiting for the enormous yacht to be secured. She was totally looking around for any authority figure that might have some answers.

Roy was there rather quickly as the troopers had called him immediately when they noticed the ship approaching. He moved a small distance up the docks, but kept his distance from the ship.

"I'm sorry, ma'am," he called out. "The island's under quarantine, you can't dock here."

"Oh, shut up," she yelled back. "I just left here this morning. I'll do what I please."

She directed her crew to keep going about their work.

His blood ran cold for a moment as he realised that the virus might very already be carried to the mainland. Damnit.

"The island is under quarantine, so I'm afraid you won't do as you please," he said, a bit rougher than he should. "I need to know where you went, ma'am."

Joanna rolled her eyes as the gangplank was lowered. "What is it about little boys in uniforms that makes them think they can just bark orders," she said, rather loudly.

"For your information," she called down, "it is apparently impossible to get to the mainland. Trust me, we've cruised around the entire island trying to break free of whatever the hell it is keeping me here. If the Immaculata can't break free, no ship can."

Even understaffed, the security forces were very present in the streets right now. If anyone needed directions, answers or a hand to get to the town hall, they would be more than willing to help.

In the late afternoon, Aly had checked at the docks but found no one, so she wandered back through the town looking for either of the ~~mmm~~ uniformed men.

By the time it would be evening, Roy was going to know every pebble in town. He smiled a little when he noticed Aly approaching. "Miss Alianne," he greeted quietly.

"General Mustang," she said, smiling back. "Any trouble on your beat?"

He shook his head. "Nothing yet," he said, studying her. "Did you hear anything more?"

"Nothing to worry about," she said easily, trying to put his mind at rest. "Just checking up on our police force."
