There was something on Cable's mind -- this was not exactly a new phenomenon.

It was enough, however, to drive him to the meditation room several times during the day.

The store was Open. The propietor... had to be there somewhere.

Kabuto had never been good at the whole gifts thing, but he was a nice guy...mostly. And so he had to see if he could find Christmas presents for people, since the holiday seemed, well, fun. Plus, Ino would whine if he didn't get her something.

So he went to the first place he thought of. Where there were weapons. Weapons were always a good gift.

It would take a few minutes for Cable to return from the meditation room.

He had things on his mind. He had to prioritize, and customers weren't high on the list. He arrived in the doorway, watching Kabuto for a moment. "Can I help you?"

Kabuto glanced over at Cable. "...Possibly. How much do you know about ninja?" He rested one hand on his hip, using the other to push up his glasses.

"Enough." Not that he ever knew enough about anything. Cable crossed his arms. "Why?"

"I'm attempting to find a gift for a particularly tempermental kunoichi ~~(female ninja)~~," Kabuto explained. "There's quite a selection here, and a knowledgable second opinion is almost always helpful."

Temperamental kunoichi. "Ino." Which would make him-- Hm. "Was there anything in particular you had in mind?" If Cable was a little leery about which weapons would make their way into the girl's hands, it wasn't showing.

"Yes, Ino. As I'm sure that whatever I buy her will eventually be used on me..." Kabuto trailed off, then shrugged. "It could be almost anything. There's very little I can't regenerate from. Throwing weapons are what ninja tend to use the most, though."

With a mild cock of his head, Cable indicated the showcase with the throwing daggers. "Knock yourself out." He'd be over if the boy found anything. To assess the risks, of course.

Healing factors of whatever stripe didn't particularly impress him. In fact, he looked entirely unflapped by the information, settling behind his desk.

Kabuto nodded and walked over to the case, spending some time just looking at the contents. Finally, he found something (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v192/kiara_jinzan/other/star2.jpg) he liked - and would also be practical, as well as decorative.

And look, suddenly, there was Cable, not quite hovering but definitely present. "Found anything?"

Kabuto glanced up at Cable, almost used to beaing sneaked up on thanks to Lucifer. "Yes, actually. Those," he replied, pointing out the shuriken.

He regarded the shuriken for a long moment.

Those would be useful for Ino, at least in her homeworld. A good method of ranged attack-- Without being a gun. Hm.

Cable opened up the case, pulling the shuriken out before slamming it back in place. Still holding them, he moved silently towards the desk.

Kabuto followed Cable at exactly two paces back, but stopped and stayed on the customer's side of everything. He was snarky, but he was still polite. "..How much are you asking for them?" The ninja asked with a smile.

Cable took a moment to jot something down on a form. "~~Handwavey~~," he noted, glancing up after a moment or two. He did not smile in return, his expression remaining stoic, downright impassive.

He remembered a fair few things he'd heard about the boy.

Kabuto had ~~also handwavily~~ exchanged some ryo for the local currency, and handed over the proper amount to Cable. "Thank you very much. I think she'll like them." He wasn't going to let Cable's attitude change his own. The false-friendly, polite smile was Kabuto's most practiced mask.

"She will." No room for argument there.

Cable knew masks well enough. "Don't try anything," he said, simply. Then smirked. "Have a nice day."

"I'm not planning anything," Kabuto assured him. "Well, nothing except how to surprise Ino for this holiday," he ammended, taking his purchase. "Merry Christmas."

Only if you're Cable, Montoya, 'the usual suspect', or you have Cable's okay.

Fully moddable, except for the mutant messiah, who's in here more often than not.

I hate all wine now.
