Mary was at the front desk, putting the finishing touches on her present for George Michael. She was in a very good mood and there wasn't anything that could possibly ruin this Christmas for her, not even the prospect of spending time with his family.

Even with the absence of Gunther's gingerbread monstrosity, the lobby still looked festive. Gunther had gone overboard setting up a magnificent Christmas tree decorated with hand-blown glass ornaments, twinkling lights, popcorn garlands and a lovely star at the top. There was even a little train set circling the tree. It was amazing that he even found time to cook.

It was enough, however, to drive him to the meditation room several times during the day.

The store was Open. The propietor... had to be there somewhere.

Christmas Edition Pirate Radio [afternoon]

"It be almost Christmas, Fandom!" an all-too familiar voice boomed over the radio. "'n in honor o' the occasion, today we'll be playin' all those holiday classics that ye completely loathe."

He laughed. "'n then I'll be settin' that record on fire. We'll be startin' off wit' that bit o' Christmas drivel that showed someone be not payin' attention t' geography: 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' No, Bono, they be not knowing because they be Muslim. Keep up."

Barbossa rolled his eyes. "The lines be open. Tell me what songs ye hate the most!"

Caritas - Monday night [Open]

Jolee was sick of the Christmas songs. That's why he demanded that the band only played songs that had nothing to do with Christmas. There were a few times the band tried to work in the words "Five goooooold rings"... or, rather "Ughiiiiiiigh ugggggggh eeeeeeeeeegggs," into a song, but that resulted in a Force Thwap, so they stopped. But there was a tree behind the band and it was lit up, so it was still somewhat festive.

Town, Monday Evening, Just Around Dusk But Before Dinner

Dawn was shivering, hard, and couldn't believe she was doing this. She took a deep breath, then dropped her warmest fleece robe and her longest coat behind a very big tree, complete with her pile of clothes. Her hair was hanging down, in the vain hope that it would cover something.

It didn't.

She hoped that one of the damn radio squirrels would pick this up, and that one--but only one--person would see her. She ran through town as if she was being chased by every demon she'd ever met.
