The Beach: Saturday afternoon
Sunday, December 23rd, 2007 05:29 amThere was a swirl of butterflies in the air above the beach, spiralling up into the sky and back down.
As they gathered, clouds rolled in, thunder rumbled, and lightning spiked down through the sky. A single flap of a Quantum Weather Butterfly's wing could create localised weather; several hundred flapping together created chaos, and the sand rose up in a swirl as a mini-tornado touched down.
The butterflies were there for a purpose, however, and as they split off into pairs, the chaos settled, and each pair fluttered off towards various parts of the island.
They left summer in their wake: clear skies and a baking warmth, almost shocking after the cold of winter.
Enjoy it while it lasts!
[ooc: It's summer at the beach! The warmth will last until a few hours after sundown. Post is open to all.]
