Karal was standing outside The Perk, clutching his Love Smart notes, and wondering if perhaps he'd finally gone completely mad.

But he felt the need to do this, if only to make a point about Professor Stinson's folly. Or something. At least he'd had the sense to phone a friend. "I think I might be crazy," he said conversationally, starting to unbutton his robes.

Robes were far easier to get into, and out of, than regular clothes. He had a feeling the 'into' was going to take on particular importance very soon.

Aravis stopped at the edge of the woods, waiting for Seely and their bags (small though hers was, she did have gifts in it) and eyeing the trees warily. "I wonder how long we'll be gone."

George Michael was looking forward to the holiday break. Even if that meant he had to put up with Uncle GOB staring at Mary's chest. Maybe Uncle GOB would decide not to come home for Christmas. Cause if he didn't come then Steve Holt would have no reason to come.

Ah, if wishes were horses...

George Michael added a note to the menu board. It read:

Closed Dec. 23 - 27 Christmas break
Closed Dec. 31 - Jan. 2 for New Year's Celebrating

Johnny stayed up late last night watching his dvd from Isabel, Savannah curled up against his side. But he woke up this morning feeling restless. Pulling on his firesuit, Johnny headed out and once outside, he shouted, "Flame on!" And he took off, flying high and flying low, and flying all around the damn place.

...it was what he did when he was feeling bored, impatient. It would be so much more awesome did he have something to torch. Birds were out of the question. Actually any small living thing was out of the question. Ew.

But Johnny flew, and he just kept on flying.

[the park is an open thing.]

Renee sat at her desk, sipping some of the coffee Cooper gave her for Christmas.

And eying the coffeepot in case any troopers decided to try and steal some.

They could get their own damn coffee today.

So a nice, productive day of repressing all of the memories that his conversation with Angelus had stirred up had done nothing for him yesterday.

Which was why Anakin was now in the gym beating the crap out of the punching bags.

Much better.

Really.

Some people did... holiday stuff during the holidays. Family stuff.

Kerrigan did coffee. Good, ordinary coffee with her good, ordinary friends at the Perk, who had settled from 'cowering' to 'quiet respect' over the past month.

She was sipping her drink and pondering the weather.

Las Vegas had collapsed.

No, not the real Las Vegas. As Mary had predicted, the gingerbread Las Vegas could not last forever. Sometime during the night, Gunther's gingerbread creation fell apart. Now all that was left was lots and lots of crumbly stale gingerbread.

Gunther obviously wasn't in a very good mood. Mary couldn't stop giggling.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!
Please join us for afternoon tea.

After figuring out that her message had apparently gotten where it needed to go or whatever because the animals finally stfu, Jaye had spent all day talking to Portalocity via website and phone. Thanks to the stupid holiday rush it was surprisingly hard to find a good portal where she needed to go for the price she wanted. Didn't it just figure? She finally managed to swing one for later at night, which she wasn't happy with, but it would give her time for a drink. You know, one last one where she could get one without a fake ID.

When she got there, she didn't see anyone at the bar, seeing as how Mr. Mayor was late again. So, Jaye decided she might as well just go behind the counter, where all the alcohol was. Maybe she could sneak some out.

Gabriel had tied a piece of string to the cowbell, and now the Cat was playing with it, filling the church with a rather random kind of music. The former archangel himself was lying on his back on one of the pews, almost smiling.

[the church is open]
