Book Haven: Thursday 10-5 [12-27-07]

Lana opened the bookstore on time. It was so quiet around town and campus that she figured it would probably be a very quiet day here as well. So, she set out the treats for customers, made herself a cup of tea and settled in to read and wonder when Chris would get back.

"I'm all out of noir," he declared with a smile. "Looking for something to read. Any suggestions?"

"There are a lot of wonderful noir-ish mysteries," she said, coming out from behind the counter to lead him to the correct section. "I haven't read much in that genre myself, but I'm told these are pretty good."

He looked at her suggestions. "Ah, this is new," he said. "I've read the other three, good author." He thumbed through a handful before settling on on four.
