Caritas [Thursday evening]

Robin's plane had gotten in earlier. Not earlier enough that she had time for a nap before work, which would have been nice, but she did have time to shower and change before heading over.

Tino did not really welcome her back with open arms.

Robin was less than surprised.

Fraser hadn't been sure until the very last minute if he was going to go to Caritas or just wait and see Robin after her shift. In the end, he picked Caritas first but the last minute decision left him little time to do more than pat his hair down and frown at the few days worth of beard on his face. Well, he had said he'd been relaxing.

So, he pushed open the door and started walking towards the bar.

Robin, bored though she was, had taken to spinning cocktail umbrellas on the bar. She looked up when she heard the door, though, and grinned. "Hey!"

"Hello," he said after he'd reached the bar and taken a seat. "Welcome back."

"Thank you," she said, leaning over the bar to give him a proper hello.

Fraser leaned closer as well, smiling briefly before he kissed her slowly, taking his time, getting acquainted again.

"Mmm, you're all scruffy," she murmured, nudging her nose against his.

"I didn't shave for a few days," he explained, smiling a little and nuzzling against her cheek. "I was lazy."

"I like it," she said softly, leaning in for one more kiss before pulling back. "Have you had a good few days?"

"Very quiet," he said, setting back on his stool. "Most of the occupants of the island seemed to have left for the holidays so it was very quiet."

"Good. Makes your life easier," she said, smiling. "What're you drinking tonight?"

"Water," he said automatically.

Robin gave him a look.

"Orange juice?" he tried.

"I learned new drinks!" she protested.

"Small portions," he said. "I don't want to be intoxicated because I have a surprise for you but it's back at my apartment."

"...ooh?" Robin raised her eyebrows. "I'll stick to shots."

"Thank you," he said and thumped the bar. "So, show me what you've learned and tell me about your trip."

"My trip was boring. Spent a lot of time in the apartment, caught up with everyone, went shopping with Lily for fun things," she told him, already pouring a small, shallow shot of Kahlua and vodka and topping it with whipped cream.

"What sort of fun things?" he asked, picking up the drink and sniffing it carefully.

"Shoes, clothes, lingerie, furniture for her apartment," Robin said casually.
