Mauvaise Chance Apartments Office/Lobby: Friday Morning

If it looks like the guy behind the counter hasn't slept much and just blew in from another dimension via a portal with really bad shock absorbers, it's probably because you have eyes. Or at least one.

But he's here, sparkly green glitter signs posted as usual, because it's the beginning of a new semester and that tends to mean new tenants, and because not sleeping out here is preferable to not sleeping in the apartment on the other side of the lobby. Out here there's no frog to look at him funny when he keeps reaching for the cell phone on the counter, then putting it down again.

There's a holographic carnivorous plant keeping him company, though. It won't roll its eyes at him, after all. Since it doesn't have any.

[OOC: Open for tenantry and/or random wanderings! I don't usually do OCD for these, but I don't want to destroy the universe on new character day, so. ]

Despite the fact that Juli figured she should be at the welcoming picnic as soon as possible, finding housing ranked higher on her scale of importance.

Locating what looked like an apartment building, Juli entered and looked around carefully.

A faint smile crossed her face. "Yes, actually. Have you any available?"

She looked over the floorplans carefully, "That one," she said finally, pointing at Minus Two. Juli didn't need the extra bedroom, but she did like the amount of space the apartment had. And the basement would be quiet, right? "I'd like that one please."

After leaving his things at the hotel and changing into one of his best suits, Mike stopped by the first apartment building on his list to see what was available. He was already feeling at home where. The guy behind the counter looked like he'd also tried to sleep on the red-eye from Las Vegas.

"Definitely, if you have anything available," said Mike.

"Just one bedroom is fine. Something roomy would be helpful. I used to have a problem with small, enclosed spaces," Mike added.

Nathan came in and looked around for someone in charge.

"I am." Nathan came on in. "Name's Nathan Petrelli. My brother said you might have places for rent?"

Nathan experienced the odd and unusual sensation of being known by his brother's reputation, instead of the other way around. Amazingly, his world did not end. "Yeah. He goes to school here. Which I guess you knew."

A grumpy looking slayer entered the lobby and headed to the desk. "Hey. Thanks for the ice cream machine," she said. "I haven't fired it up yet."

"Be nice. I still haven't given you your gift yet. I may have to keep it."

After confirming that it was totally Friday, he found himself looking for a place to stay.

And a place to park his ship more permanent.

"Young sir?"

It generally had that kind of response. Politeness was so rare these days.

He smiled faintly, hands clasped behind his back. "Yes, I am looking for a place to stay while I am here."
