Caritas, Sunday

There were new kids on the island now, but Anders had barely noticed, worried as he was about his best friend's continued MIA-ness. In fact, he was pretty lucky to remember he had to go to work tonight, and on time at that. The zombie band got a pretty sub-par tape job tonight, which in the context of an Anders-style tape job meant that it didn't include layers of foam pre-wrap and a sports training lecture, so they weren't complaining.

Tino was pretty gleeful, on the other hand; Anders spent so much time staring at his phone, hoping a text or call would come through from Bridge, that he didn't notice every time Tino flicked an olive at the back of his head.

Harry had heard there was a bar that didn't card here. Naturally he had to check this out.

"New guy," Harry confirmed. "Harry Dresden. Hi."

"Zombies?" Harry turned to stare at the band before taking the offered hand. "Actual zombies? Walking dead people? You got a necromancer running your bar or something?"

"Zombie invasion?" Poor Harry. So clueless. "And yeah. 'm a a wizard."

Reno required booze. Hard booze. He was fairly certain that he was being stalked, and he'd heard that this place didn't card, and that it had a zombie band.

He decided that he had to witness both.

Also, booze.

"Not sure if this place has the same stuff I drink back home or not, so I'll make things simple and ask for something that burns on the way down, yo."

Simple was good.

The shot of tequila was gone pretty quickly, and Reno took a moment to appraise it before shrugging his shoulders and motioning for another.

"It'll do, yo," he replied with a short nod.
raspberryturk: (Hmm.)

"Never too early for this," Reno commented, idly knocking back the second shot. "The fact that there's a decent bar around here makes up for the fact that I have to even be here in the first place."

Tamaki was actually sort of tired from handwavily following Reno all over campus since they woke up in the morning. He hadn't even eaten anything, and this research of his was hard work! He'd hardly found out anything about his roomie, save for the fact that he enjoyed commoner ramen, may or may not be an evil alien who hid ray guns under his bed, and was probably now going for that booze he kept mentioning. This was, so far, almost completely fruitless.

Stifling a sigh of despair, he quietly slunk along several paces behind Reno.

Reno, of course, continued to pay no attention to the crazy person who may or may not have been following him.

He was in a bar. If something were to jump out at him in here, it'd be a great excuse to bust a chair across someone's face. Good way to vent pent up frustration and all.

As it was, he was mostly just interested in the booze. And the musical zombies.

Deciding that he was tired of skulking around, he opted to slip into a shady booth in the back corner in order to observe his roomie. As far as Tamaki was concerned, Reno didn't seem to care about anyone or anything anyway, so why would he notice that his roomie was in the same bar, let alone at the very back where he wasn't in Reno's line of sight to begin with?

He considered that perhaps it was time to take a break from the mission. Research was fine, but he was really hungry! That and he kind of wanted to see if they'd make him a fruity tiki drink or something.

It occurred to Tamaki that he was in a bar. A bar that did not card. While he'd never actually considered underaged drinking, he was sure that if he got into any trouble he may just be able to buy his way out. Of course, then his cover would be blown! He wanted to learn more about "commoners," not frighten them away from him.

"When in Rome..." The words touched in his mind and in that moment he made it up. "Yes! Yes, that would be great. A tropical Mai-Tai, my good man! Please." Fleetingly, he wondered if this bar served the "nachos" that his new friend Ferris had mentioned the night before. He opted not to ask, since he didn't want to disappoint Ferris by trying nachos when not in his presence. No, he would just - hey, did they serve any sort of food in here? "Is there a menu," he asked warily, wondering if he was going to be ridiculed for what he thought was such a simple and silly question.

Because TV theme songs are awesome and sometimes nostalgic?
