Groovy Tunes, Tuesday

Melody spent much of the morning working on a large sign on hot-pink poster board. When she was done, it read:

HELP WANTED.
GET THE GROOVIEST JOB IN TOWN!
DAY & WEEKEND SHIFTS AVAILABLE.

She took her perch on the stool behind the counter, occasionally glancing at the sidewalk in hopes the perfect employee would appear.

Groovy Tunes was open.

Since she didn't have any classes on Tuesdays, Teyla decided it would be a good day to further explore the town, and to try to see exactly what she'd gotten herself into in ending up here.

The color of the sign made it difficult to ignore as she walked past the store. She'd been thinking about trying to find some kind of work she could do to earn money or whatever she needed to get by, and wondered if this place would work. The only way to find out seemed to be to go inside and take a look around.

"I am not sure," Teyla said. "I'm here about the sign in the window."

"It is a very good sign. Nice and bright," Teyla said. "Are you still looking for help?"

Teyla had met many friendly people in her time on this island, but none quite so friendly as Melody.

"I am Teyla," she said. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I must admit, I have never worked in a place like this before, but I am a very fast learner. I've managed to find myself without any classes on Wednesdays," she added. The idea of classes was still taking some getting used to on its own.
