Pixie Dust, Wednesday

Well, now. This wasn't her usual day, but she was down two employees and a roommate, so she could come in whenever she felt like it. It was, after all, her store.

At least the roommate had left her the house. Well. Perhaps not intentionally, but it was hers now, so there.

She sighed as she posted the sign on the door once more:

ASSISTANCE WANTED
Employees Receive Employee Discount

Luckily she still had plenty of absinthe behind the counter.

Pixie Dust was open.

Mary stopped in to see if there was anything new and fabulous that she needed to have.

Mary, who was used to having things altered, was in agreement. Except instead of shrinking, she often needed more space to accommodate her fabulous figure.

"A good friend of mine just survived his first day of teaching at the school and we're going out to celebrate. Do you have any suggestions?" asked Mary.

"We'll probably just hit Caritas. I want to see the look on his face when he sees the zombie band," said Mary with a smirk. "And Mike is just a friend who happens to be best friends with my ex-fiance, so I don't need to wearing anything low-cut unless my boyfriend comes along too."

He walked into the shop, a little bewildered at... well, all the choices. He just needed something for his class at the moment, but he didn't know if he'd be able to find it in all this

Choice!

"Would you have anything that would work as a uniform for a cooking class?" he asked.

No, he had money. Lulu had given it to him.

"Something presentable, anyway," he amended. "She just didn't want to have me looking like a raggamuffin. I'll be back another day when I have my own money for some real clothes."

He shrugged.

"I'll take whatever you think is suitable."

After his conversation with Isabel, Romeo went for a walk through town, mulling the idea of employment. He had never truly considered it before; he knew his father would provide him with more than enough money.

Yet a job -- a purpose, something to fill his empty hours -- had a certain appeal. Impulsive, he stopped into the first store that seemed to be seeking employees.

"Hello?" he called, as he turned slowly looking for a manager. "I come to ask about your sign."

If Tink was inclined to notice such things, she would have seen his t-shirt was Calvin Klein, the blazer and pants by Marc by Marc Jacobs, and the shoes vintage Pumas.

Romeo, startled by the proprietess's appearance, just barely avoided saying something not terribly brilliant to alert Tink to the fact she was small! and winged!. He swallowed hard.

"Yea, assistance wanted," he clarified, then quickly took in the shelves nearest him before giving his version of a sales pitch. "They say clothes make the man, and I should like to be such a man as this shop could dress, and give others leave to do the same. And, as I have always had good clothes, I would be most suited to be at your assistance."

And he wanted some absinthe.

Romeo followed Tink toward the back room, guessing this meant he had the job. "Most hideous," he decided, looking at one particular bright-purple sequined minidress with a shimmering neon marabou trim. "'Tis a joke. None could be so daft."

He took a sip of absinthe and immediately burst out laughing. "Whoooa."

Hey, he did grow up on the ocean in California.
