Caritas [Thursday evening]

When Robin wandered into Caritas, it was to be met with Tino telling her that they were all out of Jose Cuervo, and she had to order more.

Robin was pretty sure it wasn't actually her problem, but the woman liked her tequila. So she was on the phone, immediately trying to get in touch with whoever delivered booze in bulk.

[this actually happened at the bar where I work. where the margarita is probably our most popular drink. yes. wtf, bar manager, wtf.]

Anakin was in the bar almost as soon as it opened, ordering a huge glass of whiskey from Tino and drinking it down like it was water.

He'd probably regret this in the morning.

Jack gave the funny-lookin' guy in the bathrobe a nod. A polite nod.

All right, here was a cute guy, a little older... Brooke could handle this. She took a seat next to him and greeted him with, "Buy a girl a drink? Wait, I already have one. So I guess my next one's on you."

Anakin's jaw dropped. "I haven't had enough to start hallucinating."

He stared into the glass again. "I'm pretty sure."

Seeing the way Anakin was going through that whiskey, Bond tossed him an ironical salute as he ordered yet another drink off Tino.

"Lo!" Anakin slurred, pointing towards Brooke. "Not my granddau...relateded...mine," he said.

Jack walked in. "Tino, Jack and Coke?"

Tino glared. Funny, Jack didn't know you could mix drinks while glaring like that. There was even an umbrella.

After his last class of the week, John stopped in and ordered a much-deserved beer from Tino.

John nodded back at the guy who seemed to be nodding to him. He hoped this wasn't one of those secret signals he was supposed to pick up on and respond to appropriately.

Brooke was trying again. You had to give her points for perserverance, but seriously, she'd been here a week and nothing. So she dressed herself up, complete with initial necklace, and headed to the bar.

And as she got her drink, she wondered if the bartender would be up for something, just in case she really had no other options.

Jack was about halfway through his J&C when he noticed a new face in the bar. Which wasn't a guy student or someone dressed in robes. He meandered over to her to say hi. "Hey. Name's Jack. Jack Burton."

Brooke looked over, took in the hair and sipped her drink. "That's good to know," she answered back.

When he saw her, John choked on his beer. Anakin and Brooke in the same bar could only be great entertainment.

After realising he had nothing particularly urgent left to do this week, Bond had started thinking about things he really would rather avoid.

Which was why he was now ordering a sizable gin off of Tino, sparing him a polite smile as he did so.

After finishing her own drink, and figuring that this guy would probably think she was someone else and there would be more badness, Brooke nodded to Tino and said, "I'll have what he's having."

And lifted it up in silent cheers when she got it.

Bond nodded to Tino, indicating he'd pay for her drink, after all, just because she was obviously a student and thus out of bounds, was no reason not to be a gentleman. "Evening."
