Turtle & Canary; Sunday [1/13]

Doom arrived early, pleased to see that his throne had been delivered. He brought it back to his room before coming back to get on with his shift.

He then began to search for materials that could be used to build an impressive secret laboratory. He needed one, after all. A place where no one would be able to spy upon his inventions that weren't for a class. And with a dungeon. And lasers. Maybe robot guards, but that might be pushing it for this place.

Today's Squishy flavors: Grape Judas, Doom Punch, Dark Red

Don't deal with Doom at all.

Because he's cheerful.

Jamie came in to get his Grape Judas and raised an eyebrow at the new "look" Vic was sporting.

"Now... That's a a familiar face."

"Madrox," Doom said. "Doom has no time for this. Have Apu give you what you want."

"And now you're referring yourself in the third person," Madrox said shaking his head. "Just be a good retailer and get me a squishy like you're supposed to do."

"Apu," Doom called, refusing to serve Madrox just to make a point. "Get Madrox his Squishy."

Apu didn't really want to be in the middle of this, so he just went ahead and did it.

"One question for you Vic," Jamie asked as he paid for his squishy. "Why are you still working here?"

"You know as well as I do that I have abandoned the name 'Victor.' The man who stands before you is now and forever DOCTOR DOOM," Doom explained, not expecting it to be respected. And for that, Madrox would one day die a slow and agonizing death, but that would be far in the future. Or perhaps the Doom of Madrox's time would remember this lack of respect and do it upon his next visit home. It was something to hope for.

"To answer your question, I am continuing with this job as a show of respect towards Wexler." That was certainly not the only reason.

"You were always pretty twisted, Vic," Jamie said shaking his head. "This just proves it. Now try and keep this place nice and tidy when you close. I'm working here on Mondays from now on. So no death traps."

"I would never waste a death trap on you, Madrox," Doom said.

A pain trap, on the other hand, would be well worth his time. He could rig the cash register with a device to shock people only on Mondays, he was sure.

"I'm hurt. Really. I may never- Ah who the hell cares?" Jamie said grabbing his squishy and heading for the door. "Remember to wipe down your armor after it rains! Can't have you get all rusty!"

"The armor is rust-proof," Doom said, as if that should be the most obvious thing in the world. He encased himself in the armor for the rest of his life. What kind of fool does that without rust-proofing it? It's only logical.

Doom sometimes thought about things too much.

I want a throne.
