Amber recieved Turtle's email about the new boss. Or the new guy who was boss too. She was a bit nervous about him coming in, if he came in. She was doing her best to make sure the store was clean and presentable this morning. Straightening items on shelves, sweeping, dusting, then she put herself behind the counter and made herself useful by reading the handout. Again.

Today was going to go great. She was a good employee; she could handle anything.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Red, Blue, Almond Joy.

"Well then we'll just have to have a rule for our room, right?"

Amber blushed. "Oh my gosh, Triela, I would never bring a guy back to our room."

Triela laughed gleefully and threw her arm out for a quick hug, careful not to spill her Squishy. "Amber, I was just kidding."

"Oh," she said, hugging back. "But I wouldn't do that. You know that, right? I've never... I mean, you know... and I... " her cheeks were on fire oh my gosh.

"Calm down," Triela admonished with a grin. "Here, stop talking for a minute and drink this," she held out her Squishy.

Amber took a big drink, grateful for the moment to get her mind somewhere else, and to calm her burning cheeks. "Thank you."

Triela opened her mouth to wave of the thanks, but paused and giggled. "Your tongue is blue."

Amber cracked up laughing. "It happens!"

Triela stopped laughing abruptly, her eyes widening. "Wait a minute. Is my tongue blue too?"

Uh-oh. "...yeah."

"Did you know this was going to happen?" Triela's attempt at a dangerous tone was spoiled by the way her eyes dance in merriment.

Amber was looking down and didn't notice the merriment. She was feeling ashamed of herself. "Yes."

Triela didn't like hearing Amber sound so down, so she reached out for another hug and let some laughter seep into her voice. "You are a very sneaky roommate."

The hug instantly reassured her and she giggled. "You're not upset with me?"

"Nope," Triela grinned and tightened the hug for a moment. "Just plotting my revenge."

Amber hugged her tight then pulled back, grinning wide. "No way."

"You keep on thinking that. It'll make the eventual revenge all the more surprising."

"You are a cruel roommate, Triela," Amber said, her eyes twinkling with mirth.

"Hey," Triela objected with a grin. "You started this." She stuck out her now-blue tongue as evidence.

"Yes, I did, so I shall prepare myself to be totally revenged upon!" Giggled Amber.

"I have an idea and if you think it sounds corny, tell me okay? But I was thinkin, if neither one of us get asked to the dance - if there is one - would you want to go? You know us, just to hang out and have a good time?"

"I don't see why not," Triela smiled. "Though I should warn you that I've never been to a dance before."

"Oh, it is fun! We can dance and drink punch and maybe get into a few shinanigans."

"I don't know how to dance," Triela admitted. "But I don't see why that should stop us!"

"Ah, it's easy. Just kind of sway back and forth and then totally bounce. It'll work, you'll see."

"Guide me then, oh great teacher Amber. But I warn you, if you think my revenge for having a blue tongue is bad, wait until you see what I do if you make me look silly by teaching me wrong."
