It was Tropical Day at Groovy Tunes. That meant Mel was wearing a bikini and sarong and had a flower behind one ear, the cats all had leis that they were trying to chew off, a giant bowl of fruit punch sat on a table near the door, and there was a 30 percent off sale on all reggae, calypso, and steel drum music.

Behind the counter, Mel was humming a Kirsty MacColl song.
