When Robin wandered into Caritas on Thursday evening, Tino was nowhere to be found, but a note regarding his shunning of Robin was on the bar.

Evidently he'd discovered he'd have to work next Thursday for her.

[I am aroooooound but there is a new pet so replies might be a wee tad slow.]

"A lot of times I order them for the shock value," Robin admitted.

"A Screaming Orgasm will get some of the best looks sometimes," she offered. "Not that I've done the same thing."

"My boyfriend's super-straight-laced and lets me pick his drinks when he comes in," Robin said with a grin. "Always, always fun to mess with people who blush easily."

"Oh, that's mean. I salute you," said Brooke, raising her drink to her.

Robin gave a little bow. "I try. So you're a student at the school? I'm just guessing."

"One day I swear it'll be less obvious," she sighed. "Yeah. I'm Brooke."

"Robin," she said, waving a little. "It's not that obvious. If I were supposed to card you guys, I wouldn't have carded you."

Mostly because Brooke reminded Robin at herself in her late teens, but that wasn't necessary to share.

"That is the best thing I've heard... oh, in at least a week, thank you," she said appreciatively.

"Not a good week, or am I just that good?" Robin wondered.

"The second thing," she assured her. "The week's been fine. Boring, but fine."

"I always check around here," she said with a little wince. "Since apparently you can turn into other people or wake up with dingoes in your bed or have dinosaurs invade or something."

Brooke paused. "Um, what were the last two things?"

"I made up the dingo thing," she admitted, "but there were dinosaurs here over the summer."

For a moment Brooke stared at her.

And then she picked up her drink and gulped down the rest of it. Or at least, as much as she could.

"My thoughts exactly," Robin said, nodding sympathetically.

"And you haven't gotten the hell out of dodge?"

"I kinda like it here. And I wasn't here for the dinosaurs," she added. "I've just seen pictures. Plus I figure whatever comes along, I can either shoot it, or get really drunk later."

"Oh, don't tell me you go to the scary weapons place," Brooke said immediately, hoping there were no spears to be thrown.

"Scary weapons place?" Robin asked, raising a brow.

"The Arms place that isn't the hotel where people throw spears. Spears, and I repeat that, because it needs to be repeated."

"Ooh. No, no, I just have a gun. They have spears? Why were you there?"

"...I just reported it. You don't like, have it with you, do you?" Not that she was inching back from the bar at all.

"Oh, honey, no, I don't carry it," Robin assured her, waving a hand. "Ohhhh, you're Brooke from the radio on Wednesdays? I thought I recognized your voice."

"The one and only. Except weekends where we wake up as different people," she amended.

"Not all of us woke up as entirely different people," she corrected. "I was my teenage self. Sort of."
