Bluth's Original Frozen Banana Stand, Fri. 2/8

Sky got to work right on time, in spite of another near-sleepless night. Now on top of everything else swimming around in his head, he was worried about Teddy after talking to Chad, and because of the fact that he hadn't seen his little big brother in over a week. Sky really didn't feel like dressing in The Suit today- or ever again- but he also didn't want Mr. Manager to get upset with him (especially because, in the midst of everything, he'd forgotten his promise to pass out flyers during the week), so on the stupid thing was.

He was grumpy and cranky and wasted no time shooing Eddie and his girlfriend off the counter with the broom when he got there, then settled in to read a book and think some more.

"Yes, which is why, tiny as they are, I try and repel them every time they come near," said Sky. "I imagine those little beaks can hurt."

"Or you could eat the cost of a couple of bananas and send them on their way full, but then they'd probably bring their friends," Z said. "That's how it usually goes down."

"Exactly," said Sky. "Holding off one or two is better than a whole flock. Not as messy, either, I'd imagine," he thought, imagining the stand all covered with bird droppings and wincing.

Z made a face. "Ewww. Maybe I shouldn't feed them. But they look so happy."

"Eh, that'll keep them happy for now, I hope." And indeed, once the banana piece had been picked apart, both seagulls flew back to their bench, watching the human and the GIANT FOOD, squawking.

"Well, my work here is done," Z said. "The world is safe from seagulls for another day. Or at least another five minutes."
