Wellspring Arms & Meditation Centre, Wednesday

Ino made it to work slightly early, which really, made her kinda late by her standards but whatever. She'd been tired, okay? At least she wasn't sleeping at work this week. Surely that was an improvement. Flipping the sign to Open, she went about sweeping and dusting. After that she settled in for a good bout of needless fussing over her plants.

And Planning. Yes, really. No, she wouldn't tell you what she was planning for.

Wellspring Arms is Open.

In the morning, Cable was one of those 'around', of course. With Tether nowhere in sight and a box under his arm.

"Morning, Ino." He dropped the box off on the desk. "I see you've caught up on your sleep."

"Yeah, I, uh..." Ino fidgeted. "I'll plan better next time? Sorry." Pause. "What's in the box?"

"Just an order." For himself, but Cable didn't add that. "I'm cleaning out some of the old merchandise."

Michael was, actually, trying to avoid Ino. He was wearing the sunglasses again, but that wouldn't disguise the way he moved.

He wanted to see Cable, that was all.

Cable quirked an eyebrow. "You're late."

"I know, I was meant to be here Monday", he said, respectfully if not apologetically. "I forgot about Spring Break. Went home."

"I don't have the time right now." He pulled away from the desk, gaze set on one of the gun cases up ahead. "Or tomorrow. You'll have to come back next week."

And a few hours into the afternoon, there was an escaped Jeff. Which was not quite like a mental patient, but he had been around a sullen angry cook all day, so it was relative.

He managed to communicate all of this on his dash into the store.

"...Jeff?" Ino asked warily, having been startled out of her thoughts. She blinked at him. "Are you okay?"

"Gunther's been quiet all day. I'm afraid he might be planning something."

Jeff paused, or rather skidded, ending up somewhere but inches from the desk. "...I don't think I've ever been here before. Do you sell plants?"

"Well, uh, he wouldn't hurt you, right?"

"Be careful," Ino chided. "You don't want to fall over or anything. And, no, we don't exactly sell plants though I guess you could have one if you wanted to."

"It all depends on how you see hurting, really," Jeff said, with a shrug of one shoulder, "I mean, he did chase me around a bit the other week 'cos of the whole beret thing... could I?"

Lana had left a note for Ino explaining that she was going on the Mexico trip and promising that she would keep up her practicing while she was away.

Ino found the note, read it, and tucked it away. Ah well. She'd surely find something to amuse herself with while Lana was gone.

She went back to Planning.

Ino was cheerful about being here, yes. She was, however, also being careful to follow everything Cable-san had showed her.

"You've been following the exercises." It wasn't a question. He didn't even seem mildly surprised. "Let's move on to the next set."

He shot her a slight look. "I'll have to work you through taking one apart. For now, though... Aim."

Ino put on her most innocent expression in the face of his look. "You're the best, Cable-san."

Then she nodded and took careful aim, just the way he'd shown her before.
