Ronan was humming as he opened the store -- not a new thing for him, really. What was new was when music -- first a strong, angry cello -- began to swell. As he began to sing, he was backed by a rock band.

Cimorene was not in a good mood. Possibly because every time she opened her mouth she started singing cheerful happy songs and had a feeling small birds would start flying around her if they could. "With a smile and a song

And your heart is young." Cimorene shut her mouth and just glared.

All the world seems to waken anew," Ronan replied, with a wince and a bit of a groan. "Rejoicing with you
As the song is sung!"

Cimorene tried to place her order, she did. Of course, that's not what wound up happening. "Look at this stuff
Isn't it neat?

The girl who has ev'rything?" She paused. "Neat?"

Big meanies! You don't like Ronan!

For those of you who feel the urge to get it out of the way. You're going to be singing today anyway...

Sky and Troy ~~who is being modded with permission~~ walked (or in Sky's case, floated) into Pizza Planet, having seen and heard the karaoke machine. Sky wanted to ignore it, but he followed Troy after the other boy had insisted checking it out.

"I'm not singing," Sky told his boyfriend plainly. "I'll watch you do it, but I am NOT going to sing."

Troy laughed. "Are you sure?" he said. "I mean..." And the music began to swell.

"Don't go breaking my heart!"

"I couldn't if I triiiiied," Sky sang without meaning to.

He attempted to hide under a table.

"Oh, baby, if I get restless!" Troy sang back, hand out to Sky to drag him forward. ... As much as one could drag a sparkly ball of light.

"But, baby, you're not that kind..."

Sky forgot that he could be intangible just long enough for Troy to pull him back.

Troy laughed as he launched into the next verse. "Don't go breaking my heart!" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykHUalZMHlM)

Sky briefly considered making himself intangible and hiding inside Troy's body, but figured that would be a huge invasion of privacy... not to mention the thought was slightly creepy. And now that he'd started singing, he couldn't stop himself, anyway.

"You take the weight off me..."

"Honey, when you knocked on my door!"

"Oh, I gave you my key..."

Sky compromised by hiding near a light on the ceiling. He figured he'd blend in that way. Of course, his voice could still clearly be heard as they sang the next lines together.

"Whooo hoo... nobody knows it..."

"Nobody kno~ows!" Troy was even dancing a bit as he smiled up at Sky. "When I was down, I was your clown!"

Again, together they sang, "Whoo hoo... Nobody knows it!"

"Oh, right from the start... I gave you my heart..."

Sky felt a little better from the smile. A little. Not enough to want to come down.

"Oh~oh, I gave you my heart!" And the music faded. Troy stepped away from the karaoke system. "Well," he said. "That was fun." He paused, stifling giggles. "Kiki."

Tom was laughing and applauding the two as Sky floated down to rest on Troy's shoulder.

"... Shut up," Sky mumbled.

"Well done," Tom said, before stopping and realizing he hadn't even considered where the other voice had been coming from, but before he could open his mouth, Sky floated in front of his face and spoke up.

"Uh, hello, Mr. Tom," he said. "I'm Sky... that guy in the banana suit that stopped by a few weeks ago." Tom stared. "No, I don't know how this happened, but I swear, one of these days you'll get to see me like normal." Tom stared some more as he floated back to Troy. Sky would be pouting were he normal.

Troy couldn't help but laugh. "I swear, he's normally a normal guy. No banana suit or, well, glowing in sight."

"I believe you," said Tom, smiling at the two. "I hope you change back to normal soon, too, buddy."

"You and me both," Sky grumbled, settling just over Troy's shoulder again.

When he is here with the pinging!

Tom was busy testing the karaoke machine in-between sampling the special. His work was never done. He was also glad to not be serving pizza in his stocking feet today.

He couldn't be the bassist for Aerosmith, but darn it, he was going to sing one of their songs anyway.
