The Beach, Friday Late Morning

[intraspective]

Ino was, well, in a bit of a Mood really for some reason and wasn't exactly feeling sociable so she headed down to the beach figuring that it wasn't likely to be a popular place considering the temperature.

She settled herself down in the sand, knees drawn up under her chin, and just watched the waves crashing onto the shore.

[Expecting someone for sure, but post is totally open as well.]

Mmm. Emo.

Sweet, sweet, teenage emo.

Deadpool had come to the beach with a weetiny fox in tow. Mostly because he was trying to make up for leaving the poor girl home while he cavorted in Mexico.

And wanted the stop having to clean up savaged dust bunnies that she felt the need to kill and try yo put on Arashi's side of the bed.

Thank god he was teaching.

"Nate's minion."

Ino glanced up and over at him. "I am not," she said indignantly, "there is no minioning on my part." There totally was.

Deadpool just raised an eyebrow at that. He really needed an 'O Rly?' icon or something.

"Did you, or did you not threaten Nate with painting his store?"

"Well. Yeah, but what's that got to do with minioning?"

Max pounced on a seashell nearby, wrestling the thing into submission like a good badass hunter.

"Well..." Deadpool shrugged. "That's just what you do as a minion. And steal cars. Oh! And talk about heavy stuff on occasion."

Ino quirked a grin at the weetiny fox.

"So," she said, "if I was a minion, and I'm not saying I am or anything, then I should think about stealing Cable-san's car at some point?" Pause. "Does he even have one?"

"I'm preeeeetty sure he's carless. But should the X-Men ever show up, feel free to steal the X-Jet."

Mostly because it amused him waaaay too much.

"Is that a car?" Ino wanted this clarified. "And would they try to kill me for stealing it?"

"More a jet than a car. An X-Jet. Because god knows those guys can't have a damn thing and not add an X in front of it." Deadpool rolled his eyes, flopping down onto the sand.

"Jets fly," Ino said, "I can't even drive and you want me to try stealing something that can fly as well?"

"Preeeeetty much," Deadpool confirmed. "Oh! And if you see anyone short and hairy and not blue, tell him I say hi and that the healing factor is just so darn useful here."

Mmm, starting fights was fun.

Ino squinted at him. "Are you trying to get me killed? That doesn't sound like it'd be good for my health at all."

Beat.

"What would I get out of it, if I went through with doing all that?" Because, you know, if it was worth it... she'd totally do it. It did sound like fun.

"Oh, no, no, no." Deadpool waved her off. "I'm trying to start a fight with Wolvie."

And he totally knew she would. "Being able to say you stole the X-Jet would be fun. And Nate would do that weird thing where he's amused, but can't let anyone know he's amused."

[intraspective]

"Well, yeah," she said it like he was being stupid, "but what if 'Wolvie' takes it out on the messenger? That's totally not cool."

"I guess," Ino said, "but that seems like a rather poor reward for something that could easily get me killed considering the likelihood of me crashing is pretty high. Just saying. I mean, I'm tougher than I look, but still."

Deadpool sighed dramatically. "Fine, fine. You can do other minion stuff."

[intraspective]

"Hey! I'm not saying I wouldn't do it," Ino protested instantly, "I just want to know exactly what I'd be getting into."

"Well. They're a team of mutants striving to make the world a better place where peaceful cohabitation between humans and mutants can exist. And randomly die and come back every couple years or so." a beat. "Nate's dad is one of 'em, so..."

"Cable-san's dad?" Ino perked up. "Tell me?" She put on her most pleading expression.

"What do you wanna know?" Deadpool asked, slightly wary about this line of questioning.

[intraspective]

She shrugged. "More 'bout Cable-san. I don't know? Stuff? Maybe 'bout Domino and Caliban?"

That earned her absolutely no change in expression at all. Which, maybe if someone knew him well, was a pretty good tell.

"Well, I was kinda tying to kill him back then, so..." And, ya know. Kidnapped Dom.

Fun times all around.

She shrugged again. "I was curious," Ino said, "that's all. Cable-san's got a picture of them in his apartment and when I asked he told me their names."

Deadpool nodded. "Nate's very... I wanna say extremely emotionally shut off, but he's not in some ways. So... Nate's all messed up."

And this was coming from Deadpool.

"Let's put it that way. The whole mutant messiah thing just makes him have waaaay too much sense of responsibility."

"Cable-san is awesome. And what he says makes sense though," Ino said, "I mean, at least what I understand of it. Sometimes though I just don't get what he's talking about at all."
