Magic Box, Wednesday [03/12/08]
Andrew was feeling a little off. He hadn't been able to shake some of his bunny habits -- the spontaneous and lengthy naps, the compulsion to nibble anything green and leafy, the occasional little hop. He had considered staying home from work today, but having already missed his past two shifts, he forced himself out of bed and into town.
He opened the shop and took his normal spot behind the counter. Even the Magic Box seemed a little off to him. He kept noticing little things that had changed or sold or seemed out of place. And then there was the statue that he swore had been outside the shop when he opened this morning, but had vanished.
He pulled out a carrot and took a bite. There was a reassuring crunch. At least that seemed normal.

He put the bag with the food down on the counter and claimed a quick kiss. It was, in his mind, necessary.

This felt very much right to him -- the smell of Liir, his warmth, his closeness. This was what had been missing all morning.
"Hey there," he said, voice muffled because his face was buried in Liir's chest.

He lifted one hand to stroke Andrew's hair.
"Hey," he said in reply before deciding that Andrew's temple needed a kiss. Andrew was squeezing him and he was a little sore today but there wasn't the least indication of it because the good of an Andrewhug trumped it utterly.
"Good morning to you too."
no subject
"That smells really good," he said, continuing the nuzzling. Not letting go anytime soon.
no subject
He gave Andrew another squeeze.
"You all right, boy'o?"

He kissed Liir's neck. "Did you get taller or did I shrink?" It wasn't out the of the realm of possibility. He had been a bunny, maybe he didn't come back just the same.
no subject
"A little taller. I've got another Ozdamned growthspurt going on, apparently."
He shrugged. Privately, he thought it might be all the magic practice, but he didn't mention it.
The first time he'd flown, his clothing had gone a little tight and a little short. He'd worked it back into being loose through use and dirt, but he'd never forget that.
"Professor Ambrose ordered me new clothes from the O.Z. that should cover things."

"So what's for lunch?"
no subject
"And I just did up a couple of plates of spiced and soured beef and a potato for us each. There's brownies as well."
He pulled the items out one by one.
"No drinks, as per usual."
no subject
"The food looks amazing. You really don't have to bring me lunch, you know. I'm sure that took up a lot of your time." He nodded towards the food. Though Liir's visit and lunch had been the thing he had been looking forward to all morning.
no subject
"And if I bring Karal and Millie lunch on Friday's, there's no reason I shouldn't bring you by something on Wednesdays."
He smiled.
"For one, I like to cook. For another, I was looking forward to it all morning. I've missed you terribly."
no subject
"You know, I don't have anything else to do on Fridays, I could always get up and help you cook. It would be fun."
no subject
He was surprised, though, at the offer on Friday.
"If you'd like," he said with a bright grin, "I wouldn't mind in the least. I'm sure it would be fun. And I'm sure neither Karal nor Millie would mind a bit more creativity going into things."
He couldn't see anything bad to this.
"Though I tend to get up before dawn," he said. "As long as you don't mind."
no subject
He grinned at his boyfriend.
no subject
He ducked his head, but the smile curled up to his cheeks.
"If you don't mind," he said, quiet and prim.
no subject
"In fact, I'm kind of looking forward to it now."

This from the guy who had spent a week and a half as a bunny.

"Hey, did you find that you had an unnatural craving for leafy greens when you turned back?" he asked.
