But they're just statues, right?  No need to worry.

Richie knew that heading back alone after dark was probably not the best idea. But he'd finished with the broadcast, finished with the rum, and the squirrels had started to make chicken noises. He was not getting mocked by squirrels.
So. Cutting through the park. In the dark. Slightly drunk. What's the worst that could happen, right? The squirrels will protect him.

Now that the secret was out, you'd think the angels would be doing something to defend themselves.

Nope. They're still just statues, still doing their statue thing. Richie probably wouldn't even be scared.

He wasn't. "Stupid statue," he muttered, looking at the one closest to him. It didn't seem to be doing anything interesting, so he turned around, to see if there were any...accomplices? angel-complices? coming up behind him.

The statue was different now, changed, perhaps he was just stretching. It was late, after all. Angels needed exercise too.

Whatever the reason, the angel was now pointing at Richie.

Dale had his side arm in one hand and his voice recorder in the other.

"Diane, it's approximately 7:15 pm. Long day. I'm currently patrolling the park and advising any citizens to return home and stay inside. Luckily most people seem to have taken the warning seriously and the only fool around here appears to only be me. The sheriff has not reported in since he went on patrol yesterday. I fear that he too has become a victim in this most recent case of strange events that have hit this town. My only hope is that we can find a solution to prevent the attacks from ocurring and find a way to return home. I promise you Diane, if it's the last thing I do on this earth I will find a way to stop these statues before anyone else can be harmed."

There was an angel nearby, hunched over, eyes hidden behind two stone hands. It certainly wasn't listening to Dale and it certainly wasn't waiting for him.

Oh, no. Not that.

Dale stopped when he saw the statue and pointed his weapon at him.

He knew it was a vain gesture because... well statue but...

"Diane? I appear to have located one of the statues in question," he said addressing his voice recorder. "Though I doubt I'll have any success in apprehending it, I do feel that it is my duty as an officer of the law to attempt and communicate with this creature and hopefully reach some sort of agreement."

Dale straightened his shoulders and aimed his gun at the statue's head.

"Attention angelic statue. This is Dale Cooper of the Fandom Police force. I request that you cease and desist all abudctions of our townspeople, return them to where they belong and leave this island immediately," Dale replied and waited for a response.

Instead, it just remained as it was, eyes covered, minding it's own business.

All things considered, Bridge probably should've skipped the early-morning run. But it's a nice enough day, he's got all this pent-up energy, and if he happens to spot an angel statue, well, he'll just run quicker.

Poor, dear Bridge, not knowing that running was futile.

Nevertheless, he would, indeed, see an angel during his morning run, looking so innocent and normal. Just a statue, doing nothing but hiding it's eyes.

Which causes him to do... the exact opposite of what he'd originally planned, and he slows down to take a closer look at it, frowning thoughtfully. One hand fumbles for the cell phone in his pocket, though. Just in case. The antenna catches in his pocket, though, and he glances down at it as he tries to pull it out.

Barbossa was wandering along, listing gently to the right, a bottle of rum in one hand and a black magic marker in the other. "Heeeeeere, creepy angels," he crooned.

The angels would deny that his calling had brought them out. After all, they'd been there all along.

And one was there now, right in front of Barbossa, doing nothing but hiding it's eyes.

Andrew wanted to pick up a few things for tomorrow morning's cooking session with Liir. He wanted to bake some cupcakes, but had something special in mind for Altra.

He was keeping an eye out for those stone angels, but he wasn't too worried. Back in Sunnydale, most things of that nature only came out at night. It was a pretty sunny morning.

Plus he had taken precautions. He patted his pocket reassuringly.

"Hello there, angel statue thing," he said nervously, backing away slowly.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small leather bag, glancing down to make sure the contents were all still there.

So last night I was poking around online looking for high-res widescreen wallpapers for my desktop now that I have a widescreen monitor for it.
