Turtle & Canary: Monday

There was a Jamie at the counter and the biggest Grape Judas squishy cup right next to him.

Occasionally Jamie would just reach out and touch the cup.

Just because he could.

Today's flavors: Grape Judas, Grape Judas and Grape Judas.

When he's not drinking Grape Judas.

Sokka got his own Grape Judas and walked up to Jamie. "Hey there! I want to order a whole lot of lawn ornaments. Do you have any idea how to do that, or should I go looking for Turtle?"

"I can help you with that," Jamie said pulling out an order form. "What are you looking for? Gnomes?"

"Ooooh, where do we keep those?" Sokka asked, leaning over the counter to try to see wheree Jamie pulled it from.

Then he smirked. "No, not gnomes. Guess again."

"They were over here in the corner under the register," Jamie said handing over the forms for Sokka to fill out. "And let me guess... something that's been causing all sorts of problems last week?"

Sokka grinned wickedly. "You got it. Angels. Big ones. Made of... Oh, I dunno. Ceramic? Sandstone? Something easily breakable, anyway." He looked around. "That reminds me, I need a few sledgehammers, too, but I think we have them in stock, don't we?"

"We should but we'll order some more just in case," Jamie said making a note. "I take it you're going to be doing your own kind of therapy?"

Sokka grinned. "You'd better believe it. You interested?"

After a moment of thought, he added "...You know what? Order a WHOLE LOT of statues. I'll open it up to the general public."

"You're the man buying them," Jamie said. "But yeah, count me in."

Sokka nodded. "You have been counted. Consider yourself invited."

He disappeared down the hardware aisle and came back with two decently-sized sledgehammers, one in each hand. With a LOT of effort, and more upper-arm strength than he really had to spare, he swung them around in a complicated pseudo-kung fu routine. "KEEEE-YAA!"

Then he looked down at the broken jar of spaghetti sauce he'd knocked onto the floor. "I'll, uh... I'll just clean that up, then."

"Nah, I got it," Jamie said stamping his foot and creating a duplicate that glared at Sokka as he went to get the mop.

"Just make sure you do your sledgehammer-fu outside."

Sokka nodded. "I think I'm done, anyway. My arms hurt."

Fai had managed to wander off somewhere without him. Leaving Kurogane and Mokona to wander about town on thier own.

He walked inside the indoor market and up to the young man at the counter. "Hey kid," he grunted. "What is this place?"

"Um. A store?" Jamie replied. "You can get groceries or other sundry items."

"I want a squishy!!!!" Mokona beamed as he jumped out from Kurogane's coat onto the counter.

"No," Kurogane said flatly to the white creature and then looked back at Jamie. "I mean this country, this world, this town; what is it called?"

"Oh!" Jamie said suddenly understanding. "You're on the island of Fandom of the coast of Virginia on a planet called Earth. And you really should try the Squishy. They're awesome!"

"Squishy! Squishy! Squishy!" Mokona sang as it bounced from Kurogane's shoulder to the counter back and forth with each word. "Please~~~~~ Kuro-puuuuuuuu?"

The man took a deep breath a sighed, and his eye might have been twitching slightly. It was sad that he was whipped by such a tiny little creature. "No, we don't have any of this world's money," he said with a slight growl to both Mokona and Jamie.

He would control his temper in front of strangers, he would control his temper...

"Don't worry about it," Jamie said heading to the Squishy machine. "First one will be on me."

He may have noticed the growl and ignored it. Jamie's like that.

"WEEE!!" Mokona bounced behind Jamie, while Kurogane watched them with a flat expression.

Giving the pork bun sugar.... this wasn't going to end well.

And gosh wouldn't you know it? Jamie pulled out the giant 64 oz cup. "Here you go. It's called Grape Judas. Don't drink too much because it'll give you a headache."

And it would probably make the tiny thing explode.

One could only hope...

"What is that stuff?" Kurogane asked with a mixture of curiosity and dread.

"It's one part grape and one part Judas," Jamie explained. "It's sinfully delicious."

"Right...." Kurogane blinked. "So what kinda fruit is judas?"

"It's kind of like a kiwi."

Mokona jumped up onto Kuro's head with the Squishy in hand, paw, thing.

It was magic okay.

And Mokona bounced on Kurogane's head as some how the tiny creature managed to drink most of it.

Whatever Grape Judas was, Kurogane wasn't going to allow any more of it. "Thanks for your help," he said flatly.

"My pleasure!" Jamie said with a grin. "Thank you! Come again!"

Doom is and always will be a meanie-head.
