Turtle & Canary - Friday All day

YAAAAY Store!!

Sora was happy to be back at the store again with a normal job after last week. He even hugged Apu when he first got in.

Apu wasn't sure what to make of that.

Either way Sora was there and very bouncy as he sat on the counter making doodles of things.

Today's Squishy flavors: Grape Judas, Red, Sunshine!

And G'Kar is happy to see Sora happy. "Hello Sora. How are you today?"

Sora smiled bright at G'Kar. "Good, you?"

Did he know this guy? Was he supposed to know this guy?

Damn! He couldn't remember, better to just keep smiling then.

"Good, thank you." G'Kar smiled back. Sora probably should know him, being his co-boss and all. Perhaps he didn't get that memo?

He glanced at the squishybot. "Sunshine? What does that taste like?" He was just a bit disappointed that there were no meat flavors today.

"Kinda like lemons? With a hint of hay," he said with a nod.

Yes, he'd gotten the memo, but just hadn't seen the face. Sora was also kinda slow at times.

"Hm. Could be interesting." G'Kar got himself a Sunshine Squishy and sipped at it. Then shrugged. "Could be worse."

"I'm G'Kar, by the way. In case you didn't know."

"Oh hi!" The recognition was definitly there in Sora's eyes this time as he held out his hand. "It's nice to meet you." And it sounded like he actually meant it.

That was one of the funny things about Sora.

"Nice to meet you. Sorry about not introducing myself sooner. I meant to come by some time ago, but then *things* happened."

"How long have you been here at Fandom?"

"Since September," he smiled brightly. "And I understand. Fandom is good for *things," Sora laughed.

"That it is. Will you be here for another semester?"

"Yeah, I think so," he said tilting his head curiously. "I at least don't plan on not being here."

"Good to hear it. I like it here myself as well."

He took another sip of his squishy. "Odd, but you get used to it." It wasn't very clear if he meant the squishy or Fandom.

"Yeah, there's been stranger things."

Sora oddly enough meant both things just then.

"So I've heard. But it is still a good place. All sorts of interesting and fascinating people. Where else can one meet such a diverse group?"

After his field trip to the mall in Art of Cool, Reno remembered that he had a little something he needed to pick up for Host Club. So into Turtle and Canary he sauntered, hands is his pockets.

"Yo!" Reno grinned faintly. Ah, the kid with the huge feet. "I'm lookin' for a pool table. And a dart board. An' other crap that'd go well in a den of ill-repute, yo."

"A den of ill repute?" Sora blinked having no idea what Reno meant by that. "Uhh... well we do have pool tables and dart boards. Uhmm I think there's a poker table too if that's what you need?"

The victory theme in Reno's head was having a heyday.

"One of each," Reno said, not bothering to clarify exactly what he meant by that whole 'ill repute' thing. He figured it best not to break poor Sora's brain. "Can I get those delivered? I need 'em for Host Club on Sunday, and I ain't carryin' 'em all into the music room on my own, yo."

"Sure," Sora shrugged with a smirk. "I think I have some aero magic that might get them over there just fine..."

Maybe?

And yeah, the less breaking of Sora's brain the better. That and it would probably result in an angry Riku and Kairi coming after Reno.

Not that Reno would be terribly worried about a couple of kids coming after him.

... Until after they smacked him around with keyblades or something.

He was mostly not breaking Sora's brain because he was being nice, here.

"We're stressin' that whole 'in one piece' part, right? Because I might have the gil to toss around on this stuff, but that don't make it cheap, yoto."

"Well, duh," Sora laughed. "I think the aero would keep it floating, that or I could see about getting some pixie dust from Tink."

"Pixie dust?" Reno made a face. "Sounds... unhygienic, yo."

The last thing he wanted on his pool table was flakes off of his Art of Cool teacher, here.

"Let's just go with the aero. Little floatin' never hurt anything."

It was the landing they'd have to be careful of, perhaps.

"Does it?"

He hadn't really thought of it before. "Well it's kind of the stuff that makes Tinker Bell fly, and if you get it on you it can make you fly."

"Eh. Don't need to get dusted by my teacher to fly," Reno snorted, shrugging his shoulders. "That's what my chopper is for, yo."

Well. That's what his chopper would be for, if it wasn't back with ShinRa Corp.

"So. Pool table, dartboard, and poker table. Sunday. Host Club."

"Yes sir," Sora saluted with a laugh.

"Atta boy," Reno grinned. It was nice to get a little respect, dammit. Even if it did come with a laugh from a kid who had bigger hair than Cloud. "Now, you give me the total, and I'll cut you the check, and we'll call this deal done, yo."

There were people with hair bigger than his.

Like a certian red head Reno might have turned into at one point.

"All right," Sora nodded and gave Reno the total. It was big, Turtle was gonna like that.

It was entirely possible that Reno was in huge, huge denial about the size of Axel's huge, huge hair.

He happily paid the big sum (he was getting paid overtime by ShinRa for this silly student gig, after all), and gave Sora a thumbs-up.

"Pleasure doin' business with you, yoto. I'll be keepin' my eye out for this stuff on Sunday afternoon."

Got it... memorized?
