It wasn't Robin's normal evening, but that was fine. Not like she'd been up to anything particularly interesting tonight anyway.

And she didn't know what Barney had been teaching in his class today, but she felt an urge to wear her pink bustier top under her white, open cardigan. The weather was starting to warm up, and it seemed comfortable and appropriate.

Even if she technically couldn't drink, Mary figured she could at least be social. "Club soda with lime, please. Oh, and I like the outfit," she said.

After all, Mary used to wear a bustier to work all the time.

Robin got the club soda, her eyebrows spiking up almost into her hairline.

"...really?"

After all, no one but Robin had liked it so far. And even now she was having her doubts.

"Well, yeah. I have a top just like that. The bustier, I mean. I've never tried it with a cardigan," said Mary. "I used to wear it to concerts all the time back home, but my fiancé really hasn't liked the idea of me wearing it out of the hotel these days."

Robin looked even more surprised, but now for a different reason. "And you listen to him?"

"I didn't that I listen, just that he doesn't like it," said Mary with a mischievous grin.

Robin smiled. "Good. I've totally dated possessive guys, and ew."

"Yeah, I have an ex who is like that," said Mary. "It's not a lot of fun."

"Yeah, I have a string of them," she said, and then her smile got a little wider. "I'm so glad Benton doesn't act like that at all. It's so refreshing, you know?"

"Sounds like you got one of the good ones," said Mary. "He seems like a really nice guy."

"The nicest," Robin agreed. "And he comes complete with uniform!"

"Mmmm, there is just something about a man in uniform," said Mary. "I once planned a mass bachelorette party for about 200 Las Vegas brides, and I found a group of firefighter strippers. That was a wonderful evening."

Robin tilted her head, sighing. "If I ever hit my head, go insane, and decide to get married, I'm getting some of those for my bachelorette party."

"Well, if it ever happens, I do personally know some of the guys from Thunder From Down Under," said Mary with a smirk.
