Turtle and Canary, Thursday (4/3)

Seeing Rikku working on her robot last night had reminded Sokka that he needed to, you know, start on his Inventiontronics project. So he'd raided housewares, hardware, and electronics, and currently had what looked like a completely random pile of parts on the counter that he was unscrewing and cutting and bolting and welding and soldering. There was, of course, a Squishy smack dab in the middle of the mess.

If you want to buy something today, you may have difficulty setting it down while you pay for it.

Today's Squishy flavors: Red, Grease Monkey, Electric Blue

Maybe ask him what he's doing?

There was no way Mike could watch college basketball without a few supplies, so he stopped by Turtle & Canary on his way home. He looked over the project on the counter for a moment before asking, "What is it?"

Sokka paused and raised an eyebrow at Mike. "A device for making tequila," he replied.

"Where do you put the worm?" asked Mike, smirking slightly.

Sokka looked around with a shrug. "In there," he said, pointing at a metal box that had "BREAD HOPPER (PART C, DIAGRAM 3)" chalked on it in Sokka's handwriting.

"Very impressive. Is this a personal project or an assignment?" asked Mike.

"It's for Inventionwhatsits class," Sokka replied, as he bolted another piece on and added a strategically-placed wad of chewing gum.

"Well, good luck with that." Pause. "Mr. Weasley."

"I'm sorry," Sokka told him. "You must have me confused with someone else."

"Really?" asked Mike. "I could have sworn that was the name you gave me that night when you couldn't produce any ID."

"No, sir," Sokka told him, trying to look as confused as possible. "You must have me confused with my identical twin cousin."

Mike laughed. "Identical twin cousin. That's a good one," he said.

"No, I'M the good one," Sokka insisted. "He's the EVIL one."

"Well, I will be certain to keep an eye out for your evil identical twin cousin," said Mike, gathering up his purchases.

Who yet again is sighing in frustration at Sokka.

Reno ~~whose mun has wonky online hours, so sue her~~ didn't particularly want to speak to anyone today who actually knew him for the remainder of the day. He was all person-ed out. So he made a point to purchase a new laptop from the guy that wasn't Sokka ~~because of said wonky online hours~~.

He had a report due tomorrow, and his laptop was toast, and he hated everything.

But the "Thank you, come again" that he got after the purchase was made certainly helped his mood. A little.
