Pizza Planet -- Sunday

Makoto wasn't feeling the best, but 'she' was there and around if anyone needed 'her'. The only concession 'she'd' made to not feeling well was a complete lack of a specials board for the day.

If anyone asked 'she'd' say that you got a pizza for half-price. That was good enough in 'her' mind. Hopefully Tom would be alright with it.

Pizza Planet is Open.

Yesterday's card house had turned into an elaborate card castle, spread across the countertop. Yes, Tom was chating and taping the cards together. Shhhh.

It seemed like a good day for pizza, so Mary stopped in to get dinner to go. She smiled at Tom and his project. "I see that you're keeping busy," she said.

"Hi Mary," Tom greeted her with a smile, then looked down at his card tower. "I'm actually trying to distract myself," he admitted. "I'm thinking about persuading my wife to help co-run the place with me, so I'm trying to decide the best way to break my idea to her."

"Oh, that might be nice," said Mary. "How much does she know about this place, though? Fandom has a lot of surprises for the uninitiated."

"Not a whole lot," said Tom. "I did tell her about that thing with the angel statues a few weeks ago, since I stayed here for a few days just in case, but she found it a little hard to swallow."

Mary tried to imagine telling Danny about the things that she'd been through, like getting attacked by a saber-toothed tiger.

"Yeah, I bet," she said. "On the one hand, it might be good for both of you. If she saw how wacky this place was, she'd understand when something weird happens to you. My fiancé and I got a lot closer during an island-wide crisis last fall."

"Yeah, she was a little skeptical about the whole 'opening a pizza place' thing to begin with," Tom grinned. "And after hearing about Fandom, she's even less sure. But it could definitely help if she saw the place, yeah. Especially when something weird happens, like the falling desserts earlier in the week..."

"Or it could push her over the edge, if she can't handle it," said Mary, cringing.

"That's a possibility as well," said Tom with a frown, which quickly subsided. "Of course, after raising 5 kids, coming to a place where weird things but mostly harmless things happen every day might be a nice change of pace." He wasn't even going to go into Wisteria Lane's definition of weird things yet- people chained in basements, murder, suicide... "I like it at Fandom, so I'm sure she would, too."

"Five kids," said Mary, getting all daydreamy. "I can't wait until George Michael and I start a family."

Tom chuckled. "It has had more than its fair share of moments and difficulties, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I have three boys and two girls, ranging from 3 years old to 11. Is George Michael eager to start a family, too?"

"Well, not exactly," said Mary. "He's still pretty young, though. He'll be turning 20 around the same time as the wedding. A few months ago, the thought of kids completely freaked him out, but now he's comfortable with it... as long as those kids as those kids are in the future."

"I was freaked out about the idea of kids at that age, too," said Tom with a wink. "I'm sure that in a few years, he'll open up the idea, though. So when's the wedding going to be? Are you holding it here, or somewhere else?"

"It'll be the first Saturday in June in the local church on the island," said Mary, smiling. "Unless anything totally weird happens, or if I crack and decide I'd rather run off to Las Vegas."

"That sounds wonderful," said Tom. "I'll keep my fingers crossed that nothing weird happens that day. I think for a wedding, Fandom would ease up, though."

"I can handle Fandom weirdness. It's more his family that I'm worried about," said Mary.
