And severely torn between hysterical laughter--at least she was cute as a boy?--, and wanting to beat up the first person who dared mention anything about her gender-swap today. With her luck it’d be Cable-san and that’d… so not work. She couldn’t beat him if she tried.

Cable came downstairs during the morning.

It was a thing he did.

He paused in the doorway for roughly a second, then asked, honestly, "...Soul projection gone wrong?"

It was a thing that happened.

That got a long squinty look as she tried to decide if that was a joke or not.

"Fandom whacky," Ino said grumpily.

"Just making sure," Cable replied, mildly. "It might have been an issue."

It still probably was, but he'd wait out the day and reevaluate.

"Sure," he allowed, easily, strolling through the aisle. "According to Wade, something akin to this happened to the men last year."

That got an unwilling snicker dragged out of her. "It should've happened to the guys again," she said. "Then I could've laughed at you."

And she totally would've.

Spending a few years around Deadpool was enough to make anyone impervious to mocking, really.

"Can I trust you not to assault any customers?"

Lana came in rather uncertainly. "Ino?"

Her eyes widened at the sight of... "Well, I'm guessing you're Lana," Ino said after a moment. "Which makes me ridiculously happy that I'm not the only one that woke up messed up today."

"Trust me, you're not," Lana said, her voice having a bit of an unexpected growl to it.

Lana nodded. "I'd totally go for someone who looked like me."

And had to swing her backpack around front to try and hide her body's stupid reaction to that sort of thought. How did guys live with that?!

He came in with a sandwich and some cookies for Ino before his own shift started... and blinked as he looked around and couldn't find her. Or... so... he... thought?

"Ino?" he asked aloud finally.

There was a long moment of silence as Ino severely considered just... not answering. But it was Liir, and so, she eventually did.

"Yeah," she said, pressing her forehead lightly against one of her plants, "I'm here."

But she didn't sound like herself, or look like herself, or even really move like herself.

"I see," he said at last. He approached her slowly.

"Are you all right? I brought you some lunch." She probably didn't care. "And chocolate cookies."

"I'm a boy," Ino said. "How alright does that sound?"

"Thank you though." Cookies were good, even if she'd told herself--before she'd turned into a boy--that she was staying away from chocolate for at least a month. Yeah, screw that resolution.

"I've been a boy my entire life," he admitted as he put the bag of food down and pulled out the cookies.

"I can't say it was very much fun til I got here, I'll admit."

The covered bowl was uncovered and nudged towards her.

"I'm sorry, though. Really, truly sorry it upsets you."

“Most boys have,” she pointed out, hand sneaking out and snagging a cookie. "And stop apologizing, it's not your fault."

Mmmm cookie.

“And I, I guess I don’t mind the looks of it all so much, even though I’d really rather be a girl, but I can’t do anything like this,” Ino complained. “My center of balance is totally off.”
