Mauvaise Chance Office/Lobby, Wednesday [4/9]

Today the Guy With Tools is also Guy With Laptop, sitting behind the counter with his head bent over an e-mail he's working on. The doors are propped open to let in the fresh air, though, and the glittery signs are flapping a bit in the breeze.

[OOC: Open for tenants, tumbleweeds, terriers, turtles, girls, boys, boys who are usually girls, the Kool-Aid Man, and Bea Arthur.]

Since she was in town, Isabel decided to stop by and see her favorite old roomie. Not that she expected him to know she/he was his favorite old roomie.

"Hi Xander," she smiled as she came through the door.

Xander started to speak before he'd even lifted his head, so it came out, "Hey there... unfamiliar-looking person who's either under some kind of spell or I had more brain-bleach Friday night than I thought I did, or you're a complete stranger that somebody I know showed my picture to and now you think I'm wackadoo 'cause of thing I said about spells."

That would be Isabel staring and wondering about Xander's animal fixation. "No. When the island is not messing with me, I lack the Y chromosome and instead have two XXs."

Bridge is totally just wandering by the apartments after class. No particular reason, really. Just randomly coming by to visit the boyfriend and bring him coffee and baked goods, as one does.

"Hey," he says, making his way behind the counter and flopping down in a chair.

"Hey!" Xander grins, then frowns. "You're really Bridge, right? Not like, Willow or Dawn or somebody who happens to look just like Bridge when you turn into a guy?"

Xander reaches for it with a grateful smile. "Good. Today needs not to be Xander Kersplody Day. Actually, we could just keep not having that day. That'd be cool."

"Yeah," Mel said shifting slightly. "It's me. Hopefully I'll be back to normal tomorrow otherwise you're going to have to change the whole gender thing when it comes to slayers."

Xander paused for a moment and took stock of that thought. "That... would be weird. Like weirder than the whole weird sex-change concept, which is pretty freakin' weird to start with."

"Yeah, let's worry about that tomorrow if I don't change back," Mel said as he hopped on the counter. "Right now I'm looking to see what this whole being-a-guy thing is all about. Any suggestions?"

Since Xander's forays into checking out the being-a-girl thing had mostly consisted of trying to put the clothes on right, glancing down his own blouse, freaking the hell out, then doing it again, all the while muttering omigod omigod omigod please let this be over tomorrow under his breath, he didn't have a load of suggestions on the tip of his tongue.

"Um. Well, there's no snow, so my first thought's kind of out the window."
