Jen was still a little mopey over Bridge's last library shift yesterday, and distracting herself with building towers out of the disposable cups.

Without escaped criminals to track down or any studying to do, she was kind of at loose ends, so in between towers she was going over the time ship's flight manual again.

Well, okay, maybe not.

Ever since she arrived on the island, Tori had been craving pizza. That called for a stop at Pizza Planet. Seeing the special, she couldn't help but smile. Okay, she was so getting that.

". . . whoa."

She wasn't expecting to get that as a greeting, though, was she?

Tori raised an eyebrow, definitely not expecting to get that as a greeting. That was new.

"Whoa," Jen said again. But because randomly fangirling famous Rangers from history was a bad idea when they'd apparently just showed up in town was a Bad Idea, she cleared her throat. "Sorry, you . . . looked familiar. What can I get you?"

"No need to apologize. I do?" Tori found that amusing, for some reason. She'd seen that look before. "I was thinking about trying a slice of the special."

Hey, it looked good and the name made her smile.

"One slice of the Tuscan Triassic, coming up," Jen said, grinning like a dork.

"Thanks," Tori grinned, knowing she'd have to tell Conner about that. Ethan would definitely be amused, and possibly a bit honored, too.

"So, uh." Jen leaned against the counter while the pizza heated up. "Are you in town for graduation?"

"That I am," Tori nodded, smiling warmly. "Though, I wish I could stay longer than just this weekend."

She'd missed this place, okay?

"Here for somebody in particular? Or just alumni?" asked Jen. Because if she was alumni? Oh my god.

"A bit of both, actually," Tori admitted, smiling. "There are a few people graduating, that I came to see."

"Wow," Jen said. "That is so cool."

Apparently it wasn't just Frankie Chang movies that brought out her supreme dorktasticness.

"Thanks," Tori laughed. "I think," she winked. "So, how long have you been in Fandom?"

[*dies of laughter*]

"Just a semester so far," Jen replied. "And it's been a semester with living candy, creepy angel statues abducting people and sending them to the past, people randomly switching genders and turning little and getting kids, and a giant bear."

"Oh wow, and I thought my time here was crazy," Tori admitted, shaking her head. "Where the heck did a giant bear come from?"

"No idea," Jen said. "Seriously, giant bear. You would not believe what it took to get rid of it."

Was that a test?

Maaaaaaaaaaaybe.

"Oh no?" Tori raised an eyebrow, somewhat amused by that. She had a feeling she knew exactly what it took. "I don't know, I could think of a few things."

Aha! Jen had her now. "Would you believe a giant robot made out of furniture?"

"I'm sorry, what?" That would be Tori doing a double take. "Really? I mean I could believe it, but wow."

"Yeah," Jen said. "Different pieces of furniture assembling into a giant robot. You ever heard of anything like that?"

"Not exactly, no," Tori shook her head, a small smile appearing on her face. Hey, she hadn't heard of furniture assembling together like that, okay? It was that truth!

"Who knew IKEA made Power Rangers?" See how smoothly Jen dropped that into the conversation? Not? Yeeeeeeeeeah.

"I don't recall seeing that in their catalog," Tori smirked. "But, I suppose there's a first time for everything."

Real smooooth.

"That one," Jen said, "was not in the history books. Oh, crap. What if I broke time again?"

"History books?" Tori frowned slightly. "Are you from Bridge and Z's time?" Hey, she'd heard about the history books before from Bridge, it was as good a guess as any. "That would be bad. But so far, so good, right?"

"No, they're in my past," Jen said quickly. "Way in my past. Like 985 years."

"Oh wow," Tori was surprised. "I didn't think I'd meet anyone that came after them, honestly," she admitted, smiling lightly.

"Well, congratulations," Jen said. "You have now."

"Something I can cross off my to do list," Tori winked. She was totally joking.

"Oh that sounds interesting." an older man said to himself, sitting down at one of the tables.

"Thinking of getting the special?" asked Jen.

"As a matter of fact I am young lady." the man smiled. He looked grizzled, but harmless.

Jen nodded and scribbled it down. "Anything else with that? Breadsticks, salad, a drink?"

"A salad please. And a beer. It looks like there's some big to do going on here this weekend."

"I don't know if I can serve you beer," Jen said cagily. "I'm underage." And then she'd never get over feeling like she had to arrest herself or something.

"Oh, I'm sorry. A coke then." the man said, smirking slightly.

Jen couldn't help glaring at him as she went to put the order in. Yeah, yeah, she'd been old enough once. Rub it in, sure . . .

That only made him smirk more. Ah, youth.

For when he has pinged!

If I stare at the clock can I make the hours go by with the power of my mind?
